Yeah, there are quite a few music fans in the community actually. So far (remember- it's still pretty young) there's MilkyTracker, Schism Mod Player and Schism Tracker, Seq24, Qsynth and FluidSynth,. There's also some related audio programs like Audacity, as well as a whole bunch of music players.

It can be improved, by replacing that screen for one with much more resolution like IPHONE 4 (which is 960x640). May be its current price would get higher, but it is worth.

@bvjorge potentially, if there is a source code those, stolen or given away by the companies. for now, no go, but if there is... the psp only has 32mb of RAM. the pandora runs on close to 600. it defiantly has the power to run any of the games you can find and put on the SD disks ( up to 128 gigs right now if you utilize both slots). let's hope for the best.
TL;DR Not at the moment, sony and apple jealously guard their secrets, but the processing power is there.

I also heard a rumour that they were gonna remolder it and make a USB port for it but that rumour died when they posted on the official website that they where already mass producing them. I don't get why all these Pandora emulators have such problems running @ fullscreen. I know they are not the same but all PSP based emulators have the option to run @ native resolution, fullscreen stretched or fullscreen 4:3.

so what else do you do with that device? is it mainly built for playing games? and is there really a demand for those old games being able to be played on a handheld? i cant really see a use for the openpandora but as i read on their website they already sold about 4000 of these...

@qwertzu3 nostalgia. this is partially targeted at emulator geeks, so people from the 80s onwards that played those video games up to and including those consoles that died out recently, like the GBA. some of those games beat the crap out of now-a-days flash games on the net, and we all know how bloody addictive those are, right?
not to even mention the small portable USB hub server capability and size factor. plus full desktop enviornment!

@bvjorge potentially, if there is a source code those, stolen or given away by the companies. for now, no go, but if there is... the psp only has 32mb of RAM. the pandora runs on close to 600. it defiantly has the power to run any of the games you can find and put on the SD disks ( up to 128 gigs right now if you utilize both slots). let's hope for the best.
TL;DR Not at the moment, sony and apple jealously guard their secrets, but the processing power is there.

@1beetbox I'm guessing external. I also heard a rumour that they were gonna remolder it and make a USB port for it but that rumour died when they posted on the official website that they where already mass producing them. There probably will be an add-on perchasable in time after OpenPandora comes out. My parents already confirmed that I'm getting one!!! :P

Could you test elder scrolls arena on pandora? Stargus (Starcraft on stratagus engine) would also be nice since it seems to work on nokia N900.
I can't wait till the preorder of second batch starts (I had no luck with first one).

I don't get why all these Pandora emulators have such problems running @ fullscreen. I know they are not the same but all PSP based emulators have the option to run @ native resolution, fullscreen stretched or fullscreen 4:3.
