The main thing I loved about Hanna was definetly the editing and the director did a fantastic job but my pick for best Director would have to be Ritchard Ayoyde for Submarine and I would say the most quotable of the year is The Guard but I haven't seen Attack the Block because in NZ it doesn't come out until March 29.
@thomas481995 I was too amazed by Ayoade's Submarine, especially considering it was his debut. He did things that I'd never thought possible before, truly great, in my top 3 of the year for sure. Be sure to check out Attack the Block when it hits your theatre, great little film. Thanks for watching!
Really great picks mate. Have to disagree with you on Attack The Block though - possibly the worst script in any film, ever, and I genuinely hated it as well. But other than that, awesome picks. Happy New Year!
wow you really have a mencrush on ryan gosling, had to laugh a little bit when you named him your Hero of the year. Although I have to admit he is kinda sexy xD
Drive was also one of my favourites movies of the year, but Blue Valentine wasn't my cup of tea. And I HATE HATE HATE Sucker Punch! That movie pissed me of to no end!!!!
@mbckproduction Haha, it's hard to hide after seeing Drive. I can understand by what you mean about Blue Valentine, it's very intense. Also, true what you said about Sucker Punch, disappointed x 300. Thanks for watching.
omg this has to be the best video you have done all year thank you bud very well done and planned i hope you got my message i send yah take good care and im looking forward to BATMAN DARKNIGHT RISES, THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN,UNDERWORLD AWAKENING,THE GREY im im really looking forward to more awsome videos from you and im making a video tomorrow bud ill shout you out please can you do the same all the best for newyear 2012
Also, I know I mentioned this to you before, but TROLL HUNTER! I hated Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield was a bit irritating, Troll Hunter was perfect. You need an amazing sound system to experience it though. Captain America and Thor was like Ewan McGregor in Phantom Menace. I love him, but he was just standing there. Bridemaids was surprisingly funny, I'd pick it over Hangover 2 anyday. And Harry Potter was just alright. Didn't find it an exciting ending, but was still nice to look at
I know you couldn't watch all the films out this year, so here's my thoughts on what you didn't mention.
If you want completely mindless driving/fighting scenes, Drive Angry is a laugh. Otherwise its horrible. Tree Of Life was mind blowingly beautiful in HD, but other than that, there isn't too much of a reason to watch it unless you're an artsy Christian. Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I jumped out of my seat in excitement twice. X-Men First Class was way better than anyone expected.
@stevenbrodie123 I saw all of those movies except Drive Angry. I just didn't think they were overwhelmingly brilliant or anything. ROTPOTA was surprisingly great, as was X-Men, but they were trounced by better movies. And Tree of Life was over-indulgent IMO, but still beautiful to look at. It was just over-hyped. The Brad Pitt centric storyline was brilliant, the rest total crap and nonsensical.
I was disappointed in Sucker Punch after watching it in the cinema, but on repeat viewings it's a really good film. The trailer does warn you that you'll be unprepared and Sucker Punched, and that's exactly what it does. It has a lot more depth than it initially appears, and makes a lot more sense when you view it with the knowledge than the main character is not Baby Doll, but Sweet Pea. The other girls are metaphors for parts of Sweet Pea's personality and the issues she has to get over.

I am always happy to see people dissing Sucker Punch, one wonders if the fanboys behind the film really believe what they say. :P

@InvidNinja92 It's amazing how bad a movie about loosely-dressed women killing zombies, robots and dragons can be. I was rather shocked.
