@xiirudeboyzz I think it is Cossacks European Wars, or Cossacks Art of War. But it is definetly on the engine of first Cossacks. Look at the smoke after the shooting. Making mod for American Conquest totally makes no sense to me. You can find units from 7 Years War in AoW or EW.

@maxiz7 The song is the march of the Grenadier guard (As you have mentioned), the version is called Fythe and drum I think. Sounds a little better than the original drums and trumpets version. =D

@seanckelleher Hello seanckelleher. I'm assuming that you are asking which is better, Cossacks Anthology or the AC series. As a Hawk I am partial to the AC series of course because I enjoy both AC/FightBack and AC/DividedNation through our own mods, HEW and HDN respectively. These mods add so to our battlefield experience, and are geared towards our method of play (not Deathmatch) that it is impossible for me to go back to Cossacks with the same level of enjoyment.

This is an upcoming mod (it is not out yet) for the old game "American Conquest/Fight Back".

Currently, our club plays our own Napoleonic mod for "AC/Fight Back" called HEW and our own mod for "AC/Divided Nation" called HDN.

We do not play Deathmatch, we play only multiplayer battles on our own custom historical battlefields.

This game is cheap and runs on pretty much any PC, not to mention its fun. And ETW is only and eye candy. Gets boring quite soon. And is not that much historical either.

Yes, it's not really historical, but more people play Empire: Total War than European Warfare and it's definitely NOT BORING it depends on how good you are. anyhow, I can't wait until Napoleon: Total War comes out.

Seramiell, I can sympathize with your love of the first Cossacks..our club started with this game, making maps for the Art of War (AOW) and we still have these maps on our web site! WE adopted Shaun Baddogs mod for AOW though as it added many new units.

A couple things though that the AC series adds that made it impossible to go back was the addition of morale and the zoom out view (L mode) so you could see more of what's going on. We played MANY battles in AOW for years, come see our maps.

I like different war game... Called Imjin wars or seven year war. Made in 1997, strategic game based on war. I can only say good sides of that game. I think it goes past new-time games like age of empires 3, because of the time it's made and how it's made. The gameplay is huge, but the whole game takes only about 20mb! It is like a level 8 with japan and I've already played for like 100 hours total, but still can't get to the next level, because the games intelect is very high at that point. :)

Hmmm, its apples and oranges really. Like chess vs Tennis. Our game is for those of us who prefer the older style, 2D battlefield play that feels more lke playing with painted miniatures. Simple, colorful, more troops, not as many options but highly strategic nonetheless...that is how I would describe playing our game, EW.
