  • What is your honest view on this gun is it good for a skirmish or not thanks :D

  • @DudleyHD If you are looking for a WWll bolt action around $100, it would be the best for your money at this time.

  • so this gun sucks horribly

  • can the spring bolt be switched with the gas bolt?

  • @battlefield3FZ most likely that what Dboys did themselves, but idk for sure more research is needed, try forums obviously

  • The reason why we buy airsoft weapons is becuase you can't get in trouble for shooting somebody with an airsoft gun and using a real gun, well when do you guys ever use you Kar98k?

  • That comment is over a month old

    FAIL!!!!!!

  • Hey, Du57yx91630n5, i live in the mountains of germany, and regularly fight in 6+ feet of snow, and below 0 temperatures. only spring weapons are reliable in our area, and i wondered if this particular spring weapon would work. do you have any idea?

  • lol, who would want an airsoft version of this gun, My grandpa has a real kar98k in his closet that he took from a dead Nazi in ww2

  • @TheChristmasFan yeah and my friend has a friend that has a friend who's dads' dad who got a DEAGLE from Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Last Action Hero.

  • @Du57yx91630n5 Its still cool, its just why spend soo much for something fake. You'd rather get a real one

  • @TheChristmasFan yea thats nothing to be proud of you dont kill a human then take there gun and keep tell ur grandpa i thank him for his service but your grandpa is not right thats messed up to take a guys gun to show disrespect

  • @xxx666riley666xxx My grandpa didn't kill him, he found it from a dead Nazi in the street

  • @TheChristmasFan why would it need to be a nazi?

  • @TheChristmasFan my grandfather used a kar98k in WWII, he fought for the beautiful fatherland.

  • @TheChristmasFan hahaha wtf dont fucking lie. we arent stupid. 1 how would he carry it. 2 the military wouldent let him take it. 3 the germans would kill him if they found it on him. 3 the military wouldent have let him take it home.

  • @TheChristmasFan

Well my grandpa was a nazi and we still have his K98, his MP38 AND his luger in the attic.

    Guess I win.

But that's not something to play around with, and the real-wood version of this one is a pretty good replica to play around with.

  • @TheChristmasFan of course, of course....

  • @mierdecilla2 Why are there still people who comment on a statement made over 5 months ago

  • @TheChristmasFan because maybe some people dont live in the us and cant legally own a real one, or perhaps cant afford one? stop being so arrogant dumbshit

  • Comment removed

  • @manmademusicmkay What? Speak English

  • so should you get this gun for wwii airsoft bc i want something with greater accuracy and power than my MP40

  • is it good for long range im getting one and ahh is the dboys spring or gas?

  • @videoww2soldier98

there are two versions a gas and a spring I only know about about the spring long range maybe 130ft with .25s at most

  • What is the Kar98's FPS, and how does it compare to other spring weapons like TSD Airsoft's SDM1(M-14)? Essentially, how is it quality-wise and is it worth buying?

  • w/ .20's its 310. compared to the M14, it is better. When you don't get a lemon that is. I think mine was pristine. just depending on what it is you want

  • What I want is a weapon that is reliable and accurate within its firing range. I have found the SDM1 to be both of those things. If I am to consider buying the Kar98, it would have to be worth the money. Would you say that it is?

  • I'd say so.

  • I don't know if I'll be getting one for sure, but I appreciate the advice. Thank you.

  • very nice, im going buy it too, but, do anyone know if a real k98 bayonet fits on it? would be cool

    PS: k98 (real) strippercllip fits???

  • i dont much understand this is it kar 98 from ww1 or kar 98k (karabin) from ww2...

yes it fits on, but you will probably have to thin a barrel a bit, couse its not the same diameter of barrel by the stance form industrial making. But the barrels on original kar98 and kar98k are the same...

P.S.: i still sugest that you dont ad a bayonet to it, couse you're going to lose the true ww2 look

  • if i bought one of these, honestly i'd just mount it on my wall, the shell ejecting thing is just impractical imo, same thing with the maurshin garand. if dboys makes a garand and mosin nagant i'd grab those too.

    but anywho, nice review

  • whats the allen wrench for i dont get it?

  • for the hop up adjustment. the rear sight acts as a door in which you lift up to find the hop up

  • the smart thing to do about this gun is to, buy this dboys k98, then buy the JGBAR10. Then put the jg bar10 internals into the dboys k98

    problem solved no shells

  • does anyone know of an airsoft kar 98 that dos not use shells

  • yea the tatana k98k but it cost more than 500 $ and it is with gas

  • the tanaka works version uses gas and no shells, but it sell for like $400-$500 range.

  • yes, yould buy a gas k98 but i think tey are a leetle more expensive

  • can you put a tight bore in it, I need a WW2 german sniper

  • you have to make a custom one. the barrel isn't the problem, it's the hop-up.

  • Viva Works was coming out with a scope mount around Oct. I'd post the link to RSOV com where I saw it, but I don't have the link anymore, sorry. It's about $60 from what I can remember and it mounts to the receiver next the rear sights. It was supposed to come with a NcStar 2 or 4x20 pistol style scope as well. I'm sure if you have drill and some imagination, you could probably pull off a home made mount system. The bolt housing is made from good metal. I'd just find a weaver rail and cut it.

  • xlaichetx! whatsup, it 0n3_sh0t from ASR. BAR-10 just hit the 300' club. I'm moving onto another project rifle, but a more difficult one. I'm thinking Dboys K98 or Kjw m700.

  • if you go w/ the M700 you'll have both inconsistent gas problems and inaccuracy. Though the K98 has the whole two-piece barrel which you'd have to basically re-design how the bb's are loaded into barrel. Which then you'd have to ditch the shells. If I were you, I'd stick something that's actually do-able. The benefits you'd gain are too small to even bother. You could always just do a drop in from some other gun. You could drop the M700into the K98. Though it'd still be difficult.

  • nah man. i've got the m700 planned out. shredders concave spacer, all consistency mods, run on hpa, use a vsr bucking. trust me, i've been looking into this for a while. but, i'm thinking about the k98, because i had spoke of possibly attempting the v mod, but wasnt sure at the time. guess i gotta own up to it?

  • are the tanaka, marushin, and DBOYS all gas powered?

  • the tanaka and Marushin are but the DBoys one is most commonly found as spring, but there are gas ones as well. Heard it performs about as well as the Well G22 and KJW M700's so, yeah.

  • hey can you ship to canada? if yes how much would it be? thanks a bunch!

  • probably, it'll probably be a day or so b4 I can a price.

  • have you sold this gun yet?

  • nope.

  • which is better:

    Tanaka Kar 98k

    Marushin Kar 98k

    DBOYS Kar 98k

  • Marushin would be better if you're to upgrade it with a tightbore use good ammo. But the Tanaka is good for quality for a gas rifle.

  • just get a real k98 for 250

  • maybe an 98a, but K's a bit more expensive. that and try finding decent ammo that isn't corrsive under $1.50 a round.

  • ya a 98k cheep is around 500$ but id rather get a realy 98k then a tanaka

  • how much do u want for it? :)

  • $80 w/o shipping. You get everything that was originally included plus ammo. And I've cleaned it every 2 weeks no matter what just to keep in optimum shape.

  • where can i get this gun at

  • answered on another vid.

  • i really want this guy, but no shells. I was also thinking of getting the tanaka version because its much better overall i think.... but i dont want to use gas. wish a company would come out with a spring operated kar98 with the shells and all the bull

  • I hope you mean gun. But Marushin makes a spring version. And I think there's a version of the tanaka without shells.

  • but gas is more powerful and ranged than spring even though spring guns rock :)

  • yeah theres no doubt about it im just to lazy to own gas guns ;(

  • hey Du57yx91630n5 is it worth buying the Dboys Kar98?? And i mean is it worth it for airsoft battles and stuff

  • probably not for battles. Under 150 feet, I'd be pretty confident with it in my hands.

  • How do you think the Dboys Kar98k gas version would hold up? Close to the spring?Im thinking about buying one very soon. Nice reviews by the way.

  • Not sure. I saw it on RSOV a while ago and didn't think much of it. Though I did hear something on ASR that it was about as good as the KJW M700. To me it just sounds like they'd be adding ANOTHER faulty component to a gun that was already not that great.

  • Hm, ok thansk.

  • Can you chang out the barrel for comething else+

  • you'll need to make some mod's to the new barrel, but yes.

  • ok thank you =)

  • can u upgrade the sping and the piston head? cuz when i do get this i want to get may be a m170 spring for it

  • 1.I don't think it's your normal piston head so if you were to try and change it it need to be custom

    2. Power isn't you r main problem, it's accuracy. So you would just be amplifying the problem

  • ok thanks!

  • Hey how do u fix a Kar98K shell like thing???????????? pls reply at User:Zaper692 thank you

  • could you be more specific?

  • i heard that the gun has 2 barrels that decrease the accuracy, how difficult (if at all possible) would it be to replace them with one solid 6mm barrel? and would you recommend it?

  • it does have two. I've heard of people completely changing the barrel out for a EDgI barrel 6.01 and using SGM's and still getting max accuracy of 165 to 180. The hop up is the main source of crap accuracy and range. Trying to replace IT with a v-hop up would be your best chace of increasing the the two.

  • thanks alot!

  • does it have the little ridges for a scope? or is putting a scope on it out of the question?

ah, and would 0.12,(or whatever), BBs work in it?

  • the "ridges" are weaver rails and no it doesn't have them. Though I did hear that Viva Works is making a mount that fit's on the receiver.

.12's are hopeless. .20's AT LEAST. BEST accuracy, I'd say, TSD .26's Bio.

  • ah, thanks man

  • Nice review, where would I be able to buy my own kar98 airsoft rifle?

  • AirsoftGi com

    Pyramidair com

  • dude shutup about xbxxbxx shit get onto the fucking review

  • did you learn anything from this review?

  • to tell you the truth no, my friend has one of these guns i think its brilliant, i watched some reviews about it to see what everyone else has to say.

  • well... ok then

  • i know right

  • when you have the money could you do a mp40? or not?

  • AEG's don't sit well with me. Maintenance wise, they're more complicated. That I don't do much besides plinking. so pretty much anything auto would be too much. Performance wise, it's been said to rival the JG M733 quite a bit.

  • do the WELL MB05

  • srry already decided to do the TSD SD700

  • o ok

  • could you do a review of the kjw m700

  • srry, but my budget fell... again. So I'll be doing the TSD SD700 just to let EVERYONE know.

  • please do the TSD SD700

  • that's my plan!

  • awesome!

  • i did measure them, but they are the same as all of the other ones, idk w/e im not gonna worry, but thanks. btw wat kind of sling do you put on this?

  • the slings that are made for these kinds of stocks are like belts. I haven't looked for any, so I'm not sure where they are available or what the specifically called. i'm sure you can find them on Cabela's com or Cheaperthandirt com

  • thats ok, i took shoelaces, made a loop on both sling mounts, cut the excess, burned the frayed fabric, and just hooked on a normal sling, it works great

  • hey hows it goin, i just recieved this gun today, and i was wondering, do your shells ever get stuck in the breech and not eject when you pull out the bolt? cause 4 of mine do, but i ordered like 15 more so i was wondering if mine are just defective

  • by the direct definition of "stuck", no. Sometimes mine don't get ejected from the gun, but they just come away from the the bolt and sit on top of the others below. Though mine are WORN DOWN on the the rim of the shell, it does happen. Now if they actually get stuck in the gun, meaning you have to remove them do to pushing or pulling with relative strength, then no. BTW, how are you liking the gun so far and is my review similar to your results?

  • its a great gun its like my favorite out of all of mine and your right about the hop up making it inaccurate. again great review, only good one up here. maybe i just got defective shells, since only 5 do that. i have to pull them out of the barrel with plyers when i use them, which sucks lol

  • try sanding them down with like 400 grit sand paper. if they are just to wide, that should help. If you could, I'd measure the width and length of the working ones and the "defective" ones and see there's a difference first though. Thanks!

  • i tried measuring them, length and width, no luck, they were all the same, i really don't know wat could be wrong i mean they look identical to the working ones. I even took out the bolt and stuck the shells into the end, and they stick in just fine, idk what is wrong

  • btw, i can get them out if i push the bolt back in really hard, which i dont really want to do since it might be wrecking the gun, but 4 shells work if i do that, but one just wont budge

  • that could be the little rim on the bottom of the shell being to big for the bolt to pickup. If it doesn't pick it up, and just pushes it instead, it's probably going into the chamber too far and jamming it. Like I said, try measuring the ones that work to the ones that aren't working.

  • sd700

  • do both the l96 and the SD700 well Mb03 vsr 10 etc.

  • if you hit the 50cal bullit with a hammer will it explode?

  • no, it's got no powder charge in it. The .338 is old, but live. You'd have better luck throwing it in a fire or something. Given, it probably won't go anywhere.

  • When ru going to review the TSD SD700?

  • kjw m700

  • Oh and for another review, UTG L96 please! The god of all snipers :D

  • I was thinking about it, but there's not a lot of ammo choices these days as far as weight/quality go. So, I'm just gonna do the TSD SD700 along with the Leapers 6-24x50 scope w/ SGM's and TSD .28's.

  • You can buy an actual 1943 Kar98k for 80$ before taxes. lol

  • yeah, but you can't shoot those in your backyard usually and ammo is near or over $1 a round. Unless you reload your own ammo. Then you need a permit to own it as well. Maintence is also more cumbersome. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own a real one, but ATM, I'm just not in a position to be buying something like that. You got the gun, ammo prices, permit's, taxes, repairs(if it's only $80, it's most likely in bad condition), cost of gas to drive to range, etc. Airsoft is just easier ITLR

  • Yes, I wasn't criticizing you at all, just pointing out a fact. And for me, where i live you have to have a permit to own an airsoft gun and can only shoot in private, on a range, or in a league or show, so it's exactly like a real gun, so no difference to me. Oh, and it's $80 dollars in a gun store in good enough condition, but yeah, Ammo costs are a killer

  • yeah, that was the problem I had, no one touched base with the issues and I finally just said screw it and did it myself. Glad it helps.

  • finally, a good REVIEW on this gun, great job very informative.

  • for plinking it's excellent. it is just plain impractical in a skirmish, but for $100, you can't go wrong.

  • i heard this gun sux... plz tell me it dont :(
