The reason why we buy airsoft weapons is becuase you can't get in trouble for shooting somebody with an airsoft gun and using a real gun, well when do you guys ever use you Kar98k?
Hey, Du57yx91630n5, i live in the mountains of germany, and regularly fight in 6+ feet of snow, and below 0 temperatures. only spring weapons are reliable in our area, and i wondered if this particular spring weapon would work. do you have any idea?
@TheChristmasFan yeah and my friend has a friend that has a friend who's dads' dad who got a DEAGLE from Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Last Action Hero.
@TheChristmasFan yea thats nothing to be proud of you dont kill a human then take there gun and keep tell ur grandpa i thank him for his service but your grandpa is not right thats messed up to take a guys gun to show disrespect
@TheChristmasFan hahaha wtf dont fucking lie. we arent stupid. 1 how would he carry it. 2 the military wouldent let him take it. 3 the germans would kill him if they found it on him. 3 the military wouldent have let him take it home.
@TheChristmasFan because maybe some people dont live in the us and cant legally own a real one, or perhaps cant afford one? stop being so arrogant dumbshit
What is the Kar98's FPS, and how does it compare to other spring weapons like TSD Airsoft's SDM1(M-14)? Essentially, how is it quality-wise and is it worth buying?
w/ .20's its 310. compared to the M14, it is better. When you don't get a lemon that is. I think mine was pristine. just depending on what it is you want
What I want is a weapon that is reliable and accurate within its firing range. I have found the SDM1 to be both of those things. If I am to consider buying the Kar98, it would have to be worth the money. Would you say that it is?
i dont much understand this is it kar 98 from ww1 or kar 98k (karabin) from ww2...
yes it fits on, but you will probably have to thin a barrel a bit, couse its not the same diameter of barrel by the stance form industrial making. But the barrels on original kar98 and kar98k are the same...
P.S.: i still sugest that you dont ad a bayonet to it, couse you're going to lose the true ww2 look
if i bought one of these, honestly i'd just mount it on my wall, the shell ejecting thing is just impractical imo, same thing with the maurshin garand. if dboys makes a garand and mosin nagant i'd grab those too.
Viva Works was coming out with a scope mount around Oct. I'd post the link to RSOV com where I saw it, but I don't have the link anymore, sorry. It's about $60 from what I can remember and it mounts to the receiver next the rear sights. It was supposed to come with a NcStar 2 or 4x20 pistol style scope as well. I'm sure if you have drill and some imagination, you could probably pull off a home made mount system. The bolt housing is made from good metal. I'd just find a weaver rail and cut it.
xlaichetx! whatsup, it 0n3_sh0t from ASR. BAR-10 just hit the 300' club. I'm moving onto another project rifle, but a more difficult one. I'm thinking Dboys K98 or Kjw m700.
if you go w/ the M700 you'll have both inconsistent gas problems and inaccuracy. Though the K98 has the whole two-piece barrel which you'd have to basically re-design how the bb's are loaded into barrel. Which then you'd have to ditch the shells. If I were you, I'd stick something that's actually do-able. The benefits you'd gain are too small to even bother. You could always just do a drop in from some other gun. You could drop the M700into the K98. Though it'd still be difficult.
nah man. i've got the m700 planned out. shredders concave spacer, all consistency mods, run on hpa, use a vsr bucking. trust me, i've been looking into this for a while. but, i'm thinking about the k98, because i had spoke of possibly attempting the v mod, but wasnt sure at the time. guess i gotta own up to it?
the tanaka and Marushin are but the DBoys one is most commonly found as spring, but there are gas ones as well. Heard it performs about as well as the Well G22 and KJW M700's so, yeah.
$80 w/o shipping. You get everything that was originally included plus ammo. And I've cleaned it every 2 weeks no matter what just to keep in optimum shape.
i really want this guy, but no shells. I was also thinking of getting the tanaka version because its much better overall i think.... but i dont want to use gas. wish a company would come out with a spring operated kar98 with the shells and all the bull
Not sure. I saw it on RSOV a while ago and didn't think much of it. Though I did hear something on ASR that it was about as good as the KJW M700. To me it just sounds like they'd be adding ANOTHER faulty component to a gun that was already not that great.
i heard that the gun has 2 barrels that decrease the accuracy, how difficult (if at all possible) would it be to replace them with one solid 6mm barrel? and would you recommend it?
it does have two. I've heard of people completely changing the barrel out for a EDgI barrel 6.01 and using SGM's and still getting max accuracy of 165 to 180. The hop up is the main source of crap accuracy and range. Trying to replace IT with a v-hop up would be your best chace of increasing the the two.
to tell you the truth no, my friend has one of these guns i think its brilliant, i watched some reviews about it to see what everyone else has to say.
AEG's don't sit well with me. Maintenance wise, they're more complicated. That I don't do much besides plinking. so pretty much anything auto would be too much. Performance wise, it's been said to rival the JG M733 quite a bit.
the slings that are made for these kinds of stocks are like belts. I haven't looked for any, so I'm not sure where they are available or what the specifically called. i'm sure you can find them on Cabela's com or Cheaperthandirt com
thats ok, i took shoelaces, made a loop on both sling mounts, cut the excess, burned the frayed fabric, and just hooked on a normal sling, it works great
hey hows it goin, i just recieved this gun today, and i was wondering, do your shells ever get stuck in the breech and not eject when you pull out the bolt? cause 4 of mine do, but i ordered like 15 more so i was wondering if mine are just defective
by the direct definition of "stuck", no. Sometimes mine don't get ejected from the gun, but they just come away from the the bolt and sit on top of the others below. Though mine are WORN DOWN on the the rim of the shell, it does happen. Now if they actually get stuck in the gun, meaning you have to remove them do to pushing or pulling with relative strength, then no. BTW, how are you liking the gun so far and is my review similar to your results?
its a great gun its like my favorite out of all of mine and your right about the hop up making it inaccurate. again great review, only good one up here. maybe i just got defective shells, since only 5 do that. i have to pull them out of the barrel with plyers when i use them, which sucks lol
try sanding them down with like 400 grit sand paper. if they are just to wide, that should help. If you could, I'd measure the width and length of the working ones and the "defective" ones and see there's a difference first though. Thanks!
i tried measuring them, length and width, no luck, they were all the same, i really don't know wat could be wrong i mean they look identical to the working ones. I even took out the bolt and stuck the shells into the end, and they stick in just fine, idk what is wrong
btw, i can get them out if i push the bolt back in really hard, which i dont really want to do since it might be wrecking the gun, but 4 shells work if i do that, but one just wont budge
that could be the little rim on the bottom of the shell being to big for the bolt to pickup. If it doesn't pick it up, and just pushes it instead, it's probably going into the chamber too far and jamming it. Like I said, try measuring the ones that work to the ones that aren't working.
no, it's got no powder charge in it. The .338 is old, but live. You'd have better luck throwing it in a fire or something. Given, it probably won't go anywhere.
I was thinking about it, but there's not a lot of ammo choices these days as far as weight/quality go. So, I'm just gonna do the TSD SD700 along with the Leapers 6-24x50 scope w/ SGM's and TSD .28's.
yeah, but you can't shoot those in your backyard usually and ammo is near or over $1 a round. Unless you reload your own ammo. Then you need a permit to own it as well. Maintence is also more cumbersome. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own a real one, but ATM, I'm just not in a position to be buying something like that. You got the gun, ammo prices, permit's, taxes, repairs(if it's only $80, it's most likely in bad condition), cost of gas to drive to range, etc. Airsoft is just easier ITLR
Yes, I wasn't criticizing you at all, just pointing out a fact. And for me, where i live you have to have a permit to own an airsoft gun and can only shoot in private, on a range, or in a league or show, so it's exactly like a real gun, so no difference to me. Oh, and it's $80 dollars in a gun store in good enough condition, but yeah, Ammo costs are a killer
What is your honest view on this gun is it good for a skirmish or not thanks :D

You got the gun, ammo prices, permit's, taxes, repairs(if it's only $80, it's most likely in bad condition), cost of gas to drive to range, etc. Airsoft is just easier ITLR

Yes, I wasn't criticizing you at all, just pointing out a fact. And for me, where i live you have to have a permit to own an airsoft gun and can only shoot in private, on a range, or in a league or show, so it's exactly like a real gun, so no difference to me. Oh, and it's $80 dollars in a gun store in good enough condition, but yeah, Ammo costs are a killer

yeah, that was the problem I had, no one touched base with the issues and I finally just said screw it and did it myself. Glad it helps.

for plinking it's excellent. it is just plain impractical in a skirmish, but for $100, you can't go wrong.
