Hey i have a question, at first i can send msgs but i accidentally pressed the SMS center and was set to docomo, which was at users first. I think that is the reason why i cant send any msg now. every time i try to send it says trasmision error or something like that. was wondering if you would know. Thanks

@pinkpinkdoll, its basically really similar, because it is all from the DoCoMo Prime Series. However, the sh-06a is slightly newer, and has a higher camera megapixel. I personally like the 06a better and it looks better, but it costs about 100~200 more.

i can't decide of which one to buy from the DoCoMo SH-06A and the SoftBank 933sh.

They both have similar pricing and I just want a phone with great quality to record and to take pictures.

SoftBank 933sh has Medialock, which means that functions such as Media player, camera are locked to the SoftBank network unless it is unlocked. Docomo on the other hand does not have this problem, therefore if you want to take pictures like you said, you should get Sh-06a. :)

I think my friend told me that you need someone from unlock phone shop to cut some datachip from your simcard along with hypersim and you CANNOT turning it off or it'll lock again...you have to get a new simcard. This phone is better for you! :)

you are actually correct if you assumed that it isn't popular. Right now, in Japan, in order to get rid of iPhone stock, a lot of retailers are offering it at seriously reduced costs, sometimes even for free. Just to give you perspective, most Japanese phones are sold a-la carte, meaning the phones are sold at full cost, and normally the plans themselves are discounted for a 1 or 2 year contract.

Yes it does work on 850 & 1900mhz, however you'll need a hypersim in order to unlock it for use. & the Web/Email features will not work outside of Japan I understand. I've just ordered one like this in white! On its way! :)

well i dont thinkt he sh-05a has a rotatable touch sceen. also its camera is 8 not 10 megapixels. however in my opinion the outside of the the sh-05a looks much better.

It is really the same phone in my opinion. SoftBank phones there are more restrictions because of the way it is unlocked. so if u want hassle free then go with DoCoMo.
