I wanted to expand a bit on the "shemale" deal. Several times I've seen other transwomen referred to or self applying the label of shemale through out the internet & in real life.
As Amber said it was coined by the porn industry to give transexual porn a distinct name. By using this to refer to a transwoman you're saying "you're like a woman but not, the frame a features with a different engine" which, being trans, is a painful statement.
