Lead-in song for what????? Because it isn't worship. Worship is scripturally intended to connect us to God. This is just a connection to the flesh. God help! Don't you even realize what the original song is about?

@MegaDeception101 Each church service has a "walk-in" song that is performed about 5 minutes before service. This isn't even when church starts. Church starts at the designated time (for example, 10:00am- the walk-in song is usually around 9:55am) and plays ~16 minutes of worship music. There's nothing wrong with a walk-in song. "To reach people using whatever means necessary short of sin".

@MegaDeception101 If someone isn't a believer and wants nothing to do with church, this is just a tool to get them in the doors. Don't tell me it's easier to get someone in the doors of a church who is not a believer that they cannot instantly connect with.

@MegaDeception101 Our church is different in the regard that we mix modern and traditional worship. We aren't like the other churches that feel that the only way to Heaven is for a church to "play certain music", "dress a certain way", etc. Granted, we do NOT play anything but worship music during church service. Everybody is welcome to Lifechuch, and without our unique approach, certain people would still be spiritually disconnected with God.

@marksmike I appreciate different types of music, too. I don't personally believe that a person has to dress a certain way, or "play certain music" to get to Heaven, as you put it. That's through my belief in Jesus Christ. Music is a tool, but that's my point. Does this song point to Christ? Is someone not sure the Holy Spirit will do His job through music that DOES edify Christ? This can be played 12 mths out of the year, but if it doesn't draw people to Christ, it's fleshing appealing.

@marksmike On the contrary, I don't believe getting to Heaven is by a certain song, or dressing a certain way.  The Holy Spirit drew me to the Father, and through Christ. I attend a contemporary church, and am a worship leader. If you don't believe it's certain music that is the way, then why don't you guys mix it up? An old hymn can touch someone as much as the newer songs today, but only if the Spirit is drawing the person, and it's more than just talent on a stage.
