I like the ad very much because it is shot so beautifully and it expresses a powerful idea, even if that idea is arguable.I like that advertising like this is not bland and boring like so much other advertising. It was made by the indie agency Meares Taine in New Zealand about 10 years ago.
This ad was made following interviews with hundreds of overweight people. A powerful insight that came out of these was that overweight people often find that they cannot do things that 'regular' people can. That their lives are are affected by their weight. That insight is applied in this commercial as a set of romantic ideas by a woman who feels she cannot live that fanciful life. The idea of not being able to tie her own shoes came directly out of those interviews. How sad is that?
This is garbage. If this describes how you feel you have emotional and psychological problems, not a weight problem! This is incredibly insulting to women and anyone overweight, INCREDIBLY INSULTING!
@yuot00buser I am in complete shock at the words you have typed here. If you put as much effort into self growth as you do degrading people on the internet, maybe you wouldn't be so narrow minded.... then again I'm thinking even if you studied the world and learned all its secrets, you'd still be a monomaniac.
The message of this commercial is horrible. You don't have to be thin to enjoy life, to dance, to love. It's so sad that someone would think that about themselves - and even sadder that other people encourage it.
It was an intriguing commercial until the bigoted ending. Then it made no sense at all. Being fat doesn't stop you from having a fulfilling life. duh.
I will remember this while my fatass is banging the directors mom .. then after the directors mom makes me my breakfast but ass naked

This video is beautiful. Everything after :50 - when it becomes a commercial - isn't. Fat-shaming is pathetic.

What a bizarre advert. Can only have been made by people with a very bigoted view of fat people.

This is incredibly fucked up. Um, HELLO? You can do ALL that stuff while you're fat.
And that INCLUDES tying your own shoes.

@tryphwhat If you put as much effort into being mad at videos on the internet as you did to losing weight you wouldn't be saying that, fatty.
