  • If You had set the depth a little clockwise, You would have only one cutting pass.

I Work with this machine 4 times faster than what i see on this video and strip a house a house the size of that one within 3 working days alone.

  • wait ....... hes mexican?

  • Good observation, but this is not lead-based paint. It was also filmed long before the law was in effect. I'll be posting footage of us using paint-shavers & HEPA vacs and plenty of ground cover as we stripped a 250 yr. old house, all according to the EPA guidelines of course.

  • omg! the're in violation of epa's lead paint rule and maybe in violation of HUD lead paint violation rule and certifications. No ground protection either

  • Thats hilarious! No, get your own..haha. Its actually me, but I definitely look like a Mexican.

  • Does the mexican come with the tool?

  • Is that 6 Amp or 8 Amp?

  • 6 amp

  • Seems ok and obviously does the job.. its all about speed, I would like it better if the width of this machine could be adjusted wider. I would except a side on a double story house to be done in 3-4hours max. including sanding (3 men.)

  • a bigger width would need more power, or it would go slower. 3 men means 3 paintshavers, 3 shop-vacs, 3 palm-sanders, which is doable. What you don't see is, recessing all the nails before-hand, and detailing of the corners with blow-torch and hand tools, moving of scaffold. Can't be done off a ladder, you can't push hard enough. They make an 8 amp PS for nails. . . 3-4 hour would be very difficult. The men would need wings.

  • Anything is possible with good staff and equipment. Why the palm sanders? too slow? get something decent with a bit power.orbital sanders 400watt maybe..then using the "square sanders' (palm sanders) for the feathering out the finer detail?

  • @glenspainting123 stfu homo . what do do you want everything.

  • How is the dust containment using the vac? I don't see too much dust but why are you wearing a respirator? Sounds just like my electric planer. Looks like it did a great job. Any vibration?

  • Dust containment is great. You have to keep an eye on where the blade meets surface to keep it steady. small amount of particles and dust make the respirator necessary...ear-plugs too. Vibration gets to you by the end of the day, a bit more than a palm-sander.

  • Get about 4 more guys on the job and you might get it ready to paint by next spring. This must be for the removal of lead paint or something. And as far as i'am concerned is all a bunch of bull.

  • I am thinking of buying one. How long did it take to strip the entire house?

  • Geez that is WAAAAAAY too labor intensive work for me. My house is two-story cedar and, as expensive as beveled edge cedar is, seems it would be less expensive to just remove all the old and re-install new. A neighbor down the street did that a couple of years ago and the entire effort took only 2-3 days.

The cedar here is surprising clean - I see no knots anywhere. The woodpeckers just LOVE our home. :(

  • how big is this unit. I need to strip down spindles on a deck (there are a lot of them) to use the paint shaver, how much space would i need to strip between each spindle?

  • Where can I get a paint shaver? I have spent a few hundred bucks on tools with no luck. Help!

  • You should wear ear protection!

  • What?!! lol. Yeah I always have something stuffed in my ears when I use power-tools. the paint-shaver is super loud when it hits the wood.

  • you missed a spot

  • works nice!paint will be easy now that its fresh wood.
