  • I have the 2012 rock shox SID brain fork on my S-Works epic and I can't seem to find any service kits to service fork. Rock shoxs website does not refer to the brain fork type damper.

  • lol why do americans have such random names?

  • Please anyone tell me,do I have to change te o-rings to new ones when i change oil?In one bikeshop i was told i have to.

  • @4yp6aH8 You don't have to, but if they look worn or torn then it will always be better to replace them

  • Is this the same internals as the argyle 318 ??

  • according to the totem manual the totem is compatible with either motion control or mission control damper. Whats the difference between these two

  • @210482fmj its the same thing

  • @210482fmj Look on the Rock Shox website...

    They aren't the same thing.

  • Herk Castro, sounds made up :p

  • thank you guys for posting.

  • One huge reason why I like RockShox and Fox over companies is because they make repair and maintenance videos, manuals & other documents available to their product users. I'm someone who likes to know how products that I bought work & I don't like being reliant on dealers to fix my bike. It's not a freakin' car. If I'm just feeling lazy, or if I really don't know what I'm doing, or just not capable of doing it (e.g. the job needs special tools that I don't have) then I bring it to the dealer.

  • muy ilustrativo que tipo de aceite lleva esta suspension

  • that guy is so cool

  • @delameu~ Im cooler!

  • It was like watching a scary movie. I would get the lowers off and freak out not knowing what to do and seeing my fork like that!

  • Thx 4 Sharing :-)

  • i really hope the quality improves on mtb fork. there pretty good but id like to see less plastc parts and more metal heavy duty stuff. will we get motorcycle spec components eventually. whats stopping them from doing it

  • @Lunarlaserranging surely it can only be the weight thats stopping them

  • @Lunarlaserranging, it's the weight aspect resticts them from using full metal parts like motorcycle forks. That and they don't actually need to be any tougher as long as they're looked after properly.

  • really? glasses and gloves... they are only shocks

  • Gloves because it's kinda nice to not get oil all over your hands, into your skin, liver, etc. Glasses because if your snap ring pliers aren't brand new, it's real easy to fly a snap ring of the tips. No point in putting yourself in harm's way if it's easily avoidable.

  • its more or less just a liability thing, Say your working, and something snaps and shoots into your eye, then some idiots will say "the guys at SRAM never told me to wear eye protection so i'm going to sue them". Gloves are a nice thing to wear anyway since suspension oil typically smells bad and can be hard to get off your hands and its nicer to work with grease with a glove.

  • ASPECT RATIO ONE STAR

  • my reba duel air is locked out. any idea whats going on? i never even used the lock out feature.

  • My reba stopped working, and I hear metal sound each time the fork wants to move. Should I replace the motion dumper? It looks like the oil got leaked from upper part of that leg to the lower one... Any idea? I did the motion service once already with without any success. Thanks

  • Where can I buy the Motion Control? My PopLock doesn't work anymore and I think it depends on the Motion Control.

I'm from Germany and therefore prefer a german seller.

    Thanks!

  • it's possible that you have to add oil for motion control

  • JFGI

  • You need to add more oil to the damper leg. The lock out works by stopping the flow of oil through the motion control. If the oil level is too low the air below the damper and above the oil will still move through the motion control in the locked out position.

  • Everyone - Do yourselves a favor and don't rely on Youtube commentors to help you with your fork. Go to the SRAM website, click on Find A Dealer at the top of the page, fill out the search criteria, find a shop near you, call them and ask them. No offense to other commenters, but bike shop mechanics actually know these things and have or can get parts.

  • any service videos for the totem coi? THe manual for the totem coil doesnt go into great detail

  • It should be the same.

  • greetings? lol

  • what to do when the damper is bleading from the lockout (reba) wich o-ring should i change?

  • exelente video!

  • I assume doing this at home voids your warranty?

  • yepp. though it is impossible to tell unless you bring it into the shop dis-assembled. there is no warranty seal or anything.
