  • sound quality sucks on this upload. There are a few more of this song that are amazing. I think 4autobike's is better quality and know that the other guy's is vastly superior! DOnt get me wrong, I appreciate icansmell's upload. Sometimes someone gets a hold of the actual audio and camera work and its on!

Rock the fuck on Soundgarden, Audioslave, Chris Cornel, and TOM MORELLO, named the 26th best guitarist of ALL TIME by, "Rolling Stone Magazine".

  • not bad but soundgarden are inimitable

  • Spooning hotness

  • why do you have to say Zack is better when this is Audioslave doing SOUNDGARDEN song? Zack raps, Chris sings, and he does a damn good job at it, one of the best singers in rock. He practically wrote or co-wrote all of his music. Personally, I think Chris is better :P

  • chris cornell or zack de la rocha? how about layne staley or flavor flav?

  • Personally IDK what you are talking with De La Rocha being better when you talk about talent and genius but yes..De La Rocha is cool also..but then again, Cornell is my favorite singer so idk

  • I want soundgarden to reunite before Audioslave gets permanently back together for another 2 decades lol

  • @ZGippe40GK They are.

  • I know i found out right on midnight on new years day lol

  • Lol, I love Tim's backing vocals!

  • Indeed, RATM does the backing music for this song quite well. It doesn't deviate too much to make it sound extremely different, but they add their little flavors to it which is nice. Cornell's voice in this isn't the greatest, but considering how bad his voice usually was in the 00's, it's great.

  • soundgarden is the better band.. if you disagree fuck off moron. and whoever posted this video your fucking retarded you think ZACH DE LA ROCHA IS BETTER THAN CHRIS CORNELL YOUR FUCKING RETARDEDDDD!!!!!!

  • There's a reason your name basically spells "Down Syndrome"

  • agreed. Cornell is by far the greatest vocalist of the last 20 years. Unfortunate he lost his voice in the early 2000's but he has it back now. All we need is a soundgarden reunion. And Zach is a joke.

  • I believe Soundgarden will end up reuniting next decade. (Next decade is coming up pretty soon too.) For these reasons:

  • - They haven't played in a long time so they are probably missing it by now.

    - Other than Chris Cornell, the other members of Soundgarden played at least one gig with each other this year so band members have been in contact.

  • - Kim Thayil wants to release some B-side material from the band so his focus is on Soundgarden these days it seems.

    - Chris Cornell's solo stuff will only last an album or two and not be as successful as S.G. or A.S. so when Kim Thayil contacts him and says, "We are forming the band again. Interested?" Chris Cornell will say he'll think about it. But then he'll make his decision and say, "Okay! Let's do it!"

  • I don't know though. I heard Led Zeppelin was auditioning new singers since Robert Plant has too big an ego and doesn't want to reunite, and Cornell is on the list of prospects. I would think he'd join Zeppelin if the chance came.

  • I love Led Zeppelin and Chris Cornell would be a great singer for them. (Of course they'd have to change the name.) But I'd rather have Plant sing for them and Chris sing for Soundgarden. I did think of that possibility too though. Any musician from their era would jump at the chance to sing or jam with those guys.

  • Change the name? Why? You have Jimmy, John and John's son Jason, the family is still there. But I don't think Chris has a high enough reach to sing songs like Immigrant Song and etc.

It's a marketing decision to keep the name Led Zeppelin. People are more inclined to buy a new Led Zeppelin CD knowing that Cornell replaced plant than they are to buy a CD buy a band name they don't recognize.

Too me it's the music released that demands a name change or not. ASlave was different, thus it's ok.

  • Good point but doesn't mean it's right. Knowing Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, they wouldn't call it Led Zeppelin anyway. It would be a sin. Cornell would add a whole new element to the mix. Jason Bonham is the exception because he is the same bloodline of John Bonham which is probably why they allow it. But no where near as good as his dad was. But yeah, it would be stupid if they keep the name Led Zeppelin with a different singer. Marketing standpoint not stupid.

  • And it is it me or does Chris look high as a kite in this vid. The point I was trying to make is that if it's a dramatic enough change in the sound, change the name. If the Led Zeppelin sound and feel is still there, keep the name. Rage got Chris and Tom changed his sound thus it became audioslave. Alice has William DuVall and the feel is still there thus they kept the name Alice in Chains. To me it's the sound that determines a name change or not. Well if the world revolved around me that is.

  • @ComaAlpha that's a very good point. Does that mean that when Ronnie James Dio joined Black Sabbath, and because of the change in vocals, they had to be renamed Heaven and Hell?

  • What about John Paul Jones playing in Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme and some other guy. Wouldn't that get in the way?

  • lol 100% correct.

  • I think this vid proves that Matt Cameron is really a pretty great, technical drummer.

  • wait he needed to prove that?

  • lol

    You're right. He didn't.

  • Yes. I do believe he needed to prove it. I wasn't convinced until this video.

  • Bruce Dickinson is older than Chris Cornell and is more energetic so that is a bad excuse.

  • Zack with Rage, and Chris with Soundgarden...everything would be better :] and we'd have 2 great bands back, though i do believe RATM already are together

    we just need Soundgarden!!!

  • Yeah. And after you get Soundgarden back together then we need the original line up for The Smashing Pumpkins back. I don't like them without the original lineup.

  • IMO the drum solo here is shit -there's too much space with nothing happening- and I hate morello's tone on the solo. This kind of underlines the fact the both Matt and kim are actually superior musicians.

  • bcause tone=talent... right don't get me wrong i think kim is one of the greatest guitarist of the past 20 years i just think you have a weak argument

  • all of them are great, way different styles, both Kim and Tom are very innovative, as for drums I'm not to sure just because, I really don't know anything about drums and really couldn't tell you who is better, in the end they both said just fine, lol.

  • this is from the cuba show.. but my dvd does not include it?! wtf? what a crappy label.. such a kick ass song, and one of the highlights? and it's not included? same with black hole sun.. they should'nt leave out songs like that!!

  • this is way better than soundgarden, tom morellos solo kicks ass

  • Yeah, he looks extremely bored. He needs to run around on the stage or something like Bruce Dickinson or pick up the guitar again. It really takes away from the performance if the singer is not energetic and looks bored.

  • The man is tired and old. Give him a break.

  • What? You should see him live! :-)

  • It's what smoking does to you.

He doesn't move much nowadays b/c he doesn't want to get winded. He can't sing when he gets winded.

  • Cornell lost it when he quit playing guitar. Now he's just another front man with nothing to do but stand there and look a fool.

  • Zack and Chris are two different types of artists. I like both for different things. I love Chris's vocals and I love Zack's revolutionary lyrics.

  • better than soundgarden

  • you're joking surely

  • fuck no asshole. morello is way better.

  • agree

  • he def. brings more funk into the picture, which in my opinion makes this song better

  • Tim's backing vocals actually sound quite cool here xDD.

  • he just had to squeeze a couple whammy effect notes in there.

  • I am a RAGE fan, but a think that Cornell is a better singer than Zack

  • Well...Zack is not a singer - period - and Cornell can't rap.

  • zack can sing

  • prove it - show me a vid of Zack singing - and by singing i don't mean the kind that Fred Durst did.

  • i dont evne fucking know you...creep...

  • thats what i thought...you can't prove it- bitch.

  • listin to his one day as a lion songs he sings!!

  • beautiful world by reage against the machine. or this wid here:

    watch?v=zKdDVsp_NXc&translated=1

  • this sounds like the original! I just wish the drummer would have played the solo like the original.

  • hahaha.

    They both fucking rule.

  • Ok, really. Who gives a shit on who the better guitarist or singer is of any band? Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden are the shit. I personally think that Audioslave is the best colaberation of two bands since Temple of the Dog (Pearl Jam and Soundgarden). Oh, and Pearl Jam is also the shit. So there, they are all the best.

  • damn rights.

  • Yeah man. RATM were awesome! Anarchists on a major label selling CDs for £12 a pop! Power to the people! Audioslave was a thankfully shortlived disaster that spawned several extremely boring songs from the melded corpses of two good bands.

Also, temple of the dog featured a single guest appearance by Vedder on hunger strike (before he was even in PJ?) It was, in effect, a Mother Love Bone tribute band rather than a collaboration.

  • Wow! Where's the love dude? AudioSlave wrote amazing songs and TOTD is timeless!

  • Actually Cornell wrote basically everything on the Temple of the Dog record.

It was actually known as a Chris Cornell solo record, before Pearl Jam got big. It was the first time Eddie Vedder was professionally recorded. It pretty much lead to the forming of Pearl Jam,

    Cornell considers it a collaboration.

  • @wavpe09 Technically, Pearl Jam hadn't formed yet when Temple of the Dog was formed.

  • Tom Morello shits on any guitar player in history

  • was this in cuba? its not on the dvd. stupid overseas bonus songs.

  • what a dream team.

  • Great live performance.

  • Who cares who's the better guitarist/ band? There's 3 blokes pumpin' out massive sound. Bloke with the waist coat is shreddin' the fret board.

  • you mean Tom Morello?......ummm, are you sure about that one. im a Soungarden fan and i like Kim Thayil, but a much better guitar player than Morello? gonna have to disagree with ya on this

  • you can't really compare them. Kim Thayil was more of a finesse guitar player putting on a symphony. Morello is more in your face. Pure Hard Rock.

  • Kim Thayell is a much better guitar Player then the dude from Audioslave

  • you dumb fuck by a rage agaisnt the machine cd

  • wrong.

  • Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine were both better than Audioslave. I just don't think the slightly different styles mixed perfectly.

  • and we shouldn't compare even singers for example we cannot compare Chris with Corey Taylor from Slipknot/Stone Sour...they have different vocal range and styles and that's just a point...

  • actually nvm audioslave probly redid it

  • this is soundgarden not audioslave. both had chris cornell

  • thats audioslave, all the members there apart from cornell used to be in rage against the machine!

  • o thats pretty sick ididnt know that

  • its a soundgarden song so it probably confuses people!

  • the song was by Soundgarden but this was Chris Cornell sing at an Audioslave concert.

  • did u record this with your ass?

  • Wow. A word to the wise: buy the damn DVD (or "pirate" it, at the least) so that you don't have to watch some lame ass "recording" that someone obviously made from their damn TV set.

  • i hate when people compare zach and chris. There to diffrent front men. Chris is a singer and zach is a rapper. you dont hear people comparing 50 cent and justin timberlake.

  • good point. but chris wins. zacks lyrics sucked.

  • u hav no fucking clue

  • @Chazz10 justin timberlake?! wtf!

  • @Chazz10 not a very good comparison because chris and zach have talent

  • wow BRAD is hot ill do him like that

  • IMHO - best rock song ever.

  • I saw him in Houston in Oct. 28. He was absolutely amazing!! He even played Slaves and Bulldozers and hit every note to a T. What a concert!!

  • ive had the luck to see audioslave THREE times and cornell solo once since. Its unreal how awesome chris's voice is live. The Cuba show is a bad example. Live, he sounds magnificent, one of the two best voices ive heard live (Brandon Boyd). Zach just does the exact same shit that he's done forever.

  • BTW, I think this is their performance in Cuba, when Cornell's voice was at it's lowest point thanks to the cigarettes & booze. Put 'em down, folks....he's a walking testament to the damage that can take place. Thankfully, he's nearing his former self on his current tour.
