I'm an American who was lucky enough to play this record at Ealing College (now called something else) when I spent a winter in London in 88-89.  Great gig and the campus pub was, um, very convenient. Long live the Weddoes.

Love how one of the bass strings is slightly out of tune, you'd think that would spoil it but strangely I find it actually adds a certain something to the song.

in a weird sort of way i think this is my favourite wedding present song. i really love how the messiness resolves so nicely into that coda at 3:17 and it suddenly sounds so much like he means it.
