So impressive. However I am really not a fan of electric violin. If I'm going to hear metal I'd rather just hear a guitar. The natural beauty of the violin is lost when lights and dragons are put on it and you throw a bunch of gain on it like that. BUT this guy is incredible and deserves every bit of success he has acquired. (for those of you who don't know, he doesn't just play in subways anymore). And although you won't see me in the front center row of his shows, I gotta hand it to him. Props

Now I see that rock music could easily be done with electric violin...wich seems even more versatile...seems to have more feeling. there are no professional (as in big time on the news and tv and such) bands which do it, but there are many smaller bands which are comming out with the violin rock thing. its awsome.

Agreed, it would definitely kick ass. I've been looking at all sorts of shredding videos with an e-violin and with distortion you can definitely rock out.

Problem is though, you can really sing and shred at the same time - which would be a problem for some musicians.
