  • It would depend if your mold configuration had greater draft.

  • wouldnt be easier to do half the car, then the other half ?

  • Please contact out technical department at 800-321-8511 for additional assistance on your specific application. It is difficult to determine the type of mold needed without additional information.

  • I am very interested in casting my own miniatures, I see one major problem, a lot of the stuff I sculpt is complex, & as such I dont think a 2 part mould could be used to cast them correctly, I am wondering is there any other way to cast extremely complex miniatures in a 2 part mould without chopping them apart? I was thinking making small gates between parts, yes there would be more clean up but I could make many casts of the same model easily. Id just like your thoughts seeing as you are pros!

  • @kentsmedblom Hi, I have the silicone casting vedio for your reference. add my skype: vickylyr or MSN: lamvicky@live.cn

  • I was also wondering how to cast a 1:43 model cars..guess I need to find it out myself..

  • Depending on the type of plastic you are using, you can do either or. Our

Freeman Color Tint can be used to die both Urethanes and Epoxies. The

Fast Cast Urethanes, Rigid Polyurethanes Elastomers, and Epoxies can

    also be painted.

  • @freemanmfg what about casting 1/24 scale model kits that dont have a bottom on the body and the windows are open holes, are there any videos for something like that?

  • @bigbadbronco86 We, unfortunately, do not have that specific type of video available at this time.

  • @bigbadbronco86 This hurts my brain trying to figure this out, I had the same question.

  • How would you add color/pigment to the plastic? Would you dye the liquid or paint the solid?

  • can you make me a lego mold

  • Our Bluestar PT Accelerator can be added to addition cure silicone rubbers as a third component to reduce the demold time.

  • how come they didn't use a catalizer for faster solidification

  • The blue car is made out of Repro 83 Blue Fast Cast Urethane. You can use a wax original to create a silicone mold.

  • I'm trying to find out if I can use a wax original to make a silicone mold from. Is that blue car you're using made of wax? Thanx!

  • @ArtyHelen Yes you can use wax

  • @phookadude Thank you! :)

  • could you put a link in description of where you brought your Silicone from

  • Your videos are really interesting and usefull.. Thanks for uploading!!

  • This doesn't really show a complex parting line. Aside from the lower half of the wheels, the part has a flat surface. The lower half of the wheels were machined into the board using a bridgeport milling machine. Got one of those in your basement? Let's see them do a horse!

  • gstaria de saber quais os produtos usados para fazer a resina ?:por favor abrigado

  • It is difficult to recommend a product without all the information on your project. We can tell you that threads made with our materials would not be very strong andm depending on the applicationm, may recommend threaded inserts.

  • will this work with miniature models?

  • now do it with movable wheels

  • and that woden box!!!, like it is going to the moon!, c'mon guys, get a life, dont be so wastefull, neither in time or in materials, this is just a waste of life.

  • @arromazam Well of course most of us are just going to build the box with bits of junk or, if you're really lazy like me, more plasticine, but they might as well show you how to do it so it looks all neat and nice.

  • comeasyouare1989

you got it right, this guys just looove to make it as difficult as posible.... for some reason

  • could You do this to a model horse?

  • yeah you could also use for a model horse, but you have to really think about where the separation line is so it will be easy to remove from the mold (i.e. if there is a curve on the tail, how would you remove it from the mold)...or you could cast it lying on its side but you would have a more noticeable flashing line

  • thank you

  • hmmm..couldn't you just glue a stick to the car, then suspend it in the molding material by the stick? then after it solidifies, cut the molding material halfway through (alongside the stick) and then pour casting materials down the hole where the stick used to be. and then just cut the stick off and sand the surface. not sure if i'm being clear though

  • @comeasyouare1989

he did it that way to creat the locking mechanisim, to allow mass casting with the same mould.

  • What type of material is the car being used to create the mold...

  • Right on time! I am doing some casting and this is the ticket.
