@gogofan123456 ***HOW TO DO THIS ON WINDOWS 7*** 1) Go to Control Panel>Appearence and Personilization>Folder Options>Show hidden files and folders.

2)Computer>C:\\Users\*youruser­name*\AppData\Atari\RCT3\Optio­ns.txt. Then put in the code at the end of the other text. btw it should start with Resolution or something like that or else you have the wrong file.

@Dillusion3000 um, basically you have to find your image first and then pick your specific billboard. try pressing "up folder" and go all the way back you your desktop. Then find where your image is. The image should be in jpeg format for best chance of it working.

@Dillusion3000 yes, press the "start" button and go to the search bar. Type %appdata% and press enter. Thats the equivalent to App Data in your folder. Find RCT3 folder, etc

@dexdog2451 Game-Wise: It allows rides (both coasters and flat rides) to intersect (or touch) freely with... 1. Other tracks or rides 2. It's self 3. Scenary 4. and the ground or terrain. Code-Wise: "Attarction" addresses coasters or flat rides "Scenery" addressed the rigid body of the ride "Allow" is the verb in the code to allow the preveous text to do something "TerrainIntersect" / "ScenaryIntersect" is the second noun in the code line and is linked to the "Allow" action & lastly

The options.txt is not a cheat! its a technical possibility.

@LuigWollknaeuel Technical definition of a Video Game Cheat: A select option that at one point allowed game designers and programers better access to a feature or part of said game to gain better access to change, modify, or improve the game during testing and/or development.

This is why "cheats" exist. This is so programmers dont have to collect a million coins just to see if their code for bowser works during testing. Trust me, I'v made video games before, its nessasary to have cheats.

@troutman141 ummm, everytime what? as long as you save the .txt file it stays there and then you start up RCT3 and it will work always, everytime, unless you convert the .txt back to its original copy...

@troutman141 start over and make a copy of the original. name that copy "Options (Backup)". That will contain the original. Then, go into the real options.txt and change it up. Then press ctrl+s to save or however you want. Then your done. I hope this answers your question.

@Dylpyckle13 with vista and 7 you cant just "walk" there by clicking from folder to folder... vista and 7 locked up people's pesonal application files better and the only way to get there is to "jump" ther by typing in the exact location in the address bar.

It should look something like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name here\Application Data\Atari\RCT3

@Dylpyckle13 thats because you have 7 and this video is XP baised. calm down... if you dont like it so much look for a vista/7 video. otherwise, learn how to navagate your own computer and your own operating system that you paied money for insted of stating that something dosent exist when it really does, you just cant find it. you need to figure out how to get to app data under your user name in 7 before you do this. Im pritty sure that address works tho. Confirmed on friend's win 7 comp.

@bluedream229 first of all its "atari". also, if thats not there thats very odd. make sure you are an administrator and the game is installed on your account and your going into your account's name folder.

@Themeparkworld96 this code will do that too. any two tracks (wheather it is the same coaster or another seperate one) will not be prevented from intersecting in any circumstance in the game anytime.

@sweetvideonetwork yeh, docs and settings is hidden in vista and 7 EVEN if you type it in the address bar. but it does exist my good sir! try typing this in the address bar of a window:

C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Computer User Name Here EXACTLY!]\Application Data\

Its the computer user name that does the trick, just add that in after docs and settings in the address bar and you should be able to get ther...

I'm afraid I'll put it in wrong or something. If I do can I redo it or is the game ruined forever? That's why I don't want to do this until I've tried it on some other computer. Also, does this count as hacking the game?

@AbodeProductions if you listened to the video you would know that even though (if not done correctly) it may crash your game on load, you would have made a back up of the options.txt folder somewhere else. in that case you would just delete the current one and replace it with the old, backed up one and it would work and you can try again. also, you can't ruin any game "forever." you can just mess up a setting which causes it not to work and if you have the right knowledge you can fix anything.

@AbodeProductions simple, copy and paste the document to somewhere else and then modify the document. then, if it screws up, you simply just take the one you copied somewhere else and copy it back to the original location. if it asks you if you want to overwrite press yes.

@AbodeProductions also, this is not rlly concidered a hack, you are just altering the options of the game in the developers options file which can allow you do do almost anything if you know the correct code the developers used... hacking is more like using other files and programs to hack or altering the very basic code of said program you are hacking.

@fightinghaggis1 well it shouldn't matter where the code is in the file as long as you imputed it at the bottom on the first try. it is also expected to "adjust" the code arround and add square symbols to make it more fitting for the game's engine. but um, if its deleating the code, i dont know what to tell you, might be a win 7 thing. try telling the game to run like its Win XP.

@SooUnOriginal Go to computer. Select Organize, Folder and Search Options, View, and check show hidden folders and files. Then go to Users, you're user name, AppData, Roaming folder, then Atari, RCT3, Options folder, and then enter in cheat and it should work. Any questions?

i have a question. do you need to have the "soaked" epansion pack to download ctr's because i only have the first edition and wild. i downloaded a couple of ctr's but when i go to click on them to open it, it freezes my computer. they were the griffon coaster cars and the tram cars like the models in rct2. thanks if you could answer it would help me out alot

@95hammerkt95 unfortunatly, yes, most ctr's require both expansion pack's advanced animation updates to run correctly. If not they will crash your game. The best thing you can do is go out and buy RCT3: Platinum! You could probably find it very cheep on amazon.com, ebay, or your local store because it is such an old game.

You know theres a program that does it for you right? But this is still a great tutorial, because the program doesn't work for some cheat, like for example, changing to HD.

@czstealth hehe, thx. iv tried the program b4 and it didnt work for me at all because i think it was trying to access the one on prog files. and to get hd you need a monitor that can do hd as well as a graphics card.
