These aren't even the best metal bands that are still around.

There's five bands from the same genre: metalcore (7x, bullet, engage, AILD, Atreyu). Disturbed, Drowning Pool, and Stone Sour are all pretty close to nu metal. That's not really fair to the other genres of metal (alt, heavy, thrash, death, etc. depending on your tolerance level) with more influential and talented acts (examples like Alice In Chains, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Sepultura).
