  • as a singer, this version is so different, more "german" than "irish" and Many Thanks!

  • Wow, this is fantastic.

  • @madamerotten Thank you!!

  • A very nice version. A happy sound!

  • What a beautiful interpretation! Maybe one characteristic of a great song is that it can be interpreted multiple ways!

  • I left a comment earlier but it appears to have not posted. Briefly, I have a blog and in that blog my latest post is about this song. I linked to your video at the end of my post. Google:

Writerquake Old Postcard Wednesday How Are Things in Glocca Morra. That should get you to the post.

  • Wanted you to know that I just posted at my blog about this song, and I linked your wonderful video at the end of my post. Youtube will not print my comment if I note the url. You can read my post by Googling "Writerquake Old Postcard Wednesday Gettysburg Songs My Mother Taught Me How Are Things in Glocca Morra" or some combination of those words.

  • That is great news!!! Johnny Boy Minneapolis. Thank you!

  • FIVE STARS! (but ratings are disabled...:(

This is really marvelous, and a beautiful instrument.

  • Thank you!!!!!

  • cool !!

  • Cool! Thanks for showing how that instrument is played (it's very different from the bigger versions we always see). Doesn't seem like it's the easiest instrument to master!!! GOOD JOB!

  • Thank you for the comment! And, actually a chemnitzer concertina is not too hard to play. I'd hope that you would consider learning how to play one. Playing music is a lot of fun!!

  • Yes, I would consider it! I play piano, and as you have probably guessed, the drawback is that a piano is not so portable as the instrument pictured here!

  • Great to hear that you play music. Fantastic!!!

  • Gorgeous song! Beautifully done

  • Thankyou for the encouragement!! Certainly, with any spare time I have, I need to practice, practice, and practice some more.
