this was absolutely not mimed or playback. like others mentioned, there were some tracks that were lipsynced, some blatantly so, others not. but, this one was completely sung live. furthermore, nowadays whenever madonna sings a song in concert she is going to be lipsyncing, she usually re-records the track in a bit of a lower register so it doesn't sound so mimed per se. she did this with future lovers for example, and jump.
