Fulltone GT - 500 distortion flavors

Does anyone know if this would be good for Tom Scholz type of tones? I've heard it has a wah-wah inductor in it. It sounds like it might. Does anyone know?

At the same time. the videos dont do this pedal justice. its alot fuller and smoother in real life.

anything between 9 and 18 volts. 9 volts is supposed to be dirtier and 18 volts is supposed to have a sharper tone. I bought the pedal but have yet to have access to my electric guitar, two thirds across the country

Hey, I just got a GT500. Will you please tell me what settings you use for the different sounds you are trying to get. There are so many tonal possiblilities with the EQ's that it gets a little confusing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well the video corresponds to t he audio so you should be able to follow along with the knob settings --- thats why I do them this way so you can see exactly how I have it set....enjoy.

do you think this pedal is a good choice for someone who looks for a VINTAGE BLUES SOUND ? I have a 52 vintage reissue telecaster. I am looking for really Vintage overdrive sounds.

Do you suggest this pedal ?

or MAXON OD-808 or T-REX Mudhoney are better choices ?

the boost side would be  good for some of that,,, you might prefer a Fulldrive II with t he Mosfet setting - its versatile and vintagy

I've got the fulldrive 2 with the mosfet and I'm waiting for my local carrier to get their shipment of the GT500. I'm hoping that the combination of both of those pedals will fullfill my distortion/overdrive needs for good! :)

Very interesting, the sound quality is a bit bad though, I think. Thanks for the impressions of such a new pedal. How would you compare it to a Fulltone Dist. Pro? Especially for someone who likes the simpler side of things?

Well it seems more ampish than the DP, to me its basic problem is its Two pedals and your stuck with both - Im hoping he brings t hem out individually at a some point

Good points. I have played with it on a Mesa Express 2:50 combo with LP Goldtop with p90s and I hated it!!! Too harsh to my ears, seriously lacking musical tone and feel.
