Why was he given leprosy by God beforehand? God would be the one to give him leprosy, as he is the supposed lord of man. It would even be reasonable to say that Leprosy itself was created by God, not to mention all other diseases.
He didn't deserve to be healed, just like none of us would have deserved it had we been in his situation... but Jesus still reached out to heal him. Today, none of us might have leprosy but we are all covered in sin and guilty before God for breaking His commands. Though we didn't deserve it... Jesus gave His life for us to pay the penalty for our sin and show us how much He loves us.
According to the Bible, leprousy is white skin, it's what vitilgo is. Read Exodus....Moses put his hand in his garment and when took it out it was leprous AS SNOW. When he put it back it went back to his other flesh! LOL I wonder what was his other flesh was if it wasn't white. Go figure.
