I flew to Holland in 2001 a week after 9/11 to catch up with these guys - I can't say enough about their performance and persona. I've posted a few interviews on here from then - they will leave you breathless
Easily one of the most underrated bands ever. These guys are absolutely phenomenal. really wish I was born earlier so I could have had a chance to see them in concert
@lukas0r The studio version is from Moontan which I have on Vinyl! But what is this live version from? I looked at all their albums and couldn't find a single live track of this tune.
@GuitarSlinger2112 Hmm, on my computer its in the "fifty greatest hits" folder, this could be a complication that somebody made of the greatest hits albums. Otherwise i have no idea. If you google golden earring fifty greatest hits then you will find links for that. A automatic tagging program for mp3's labels it to the album Paradise in Distress, but that cant be right. hope it helped
The guys recorded a live DVD in 2006. This DVD contains an extreme superb version of this song. (to my opinion)
by the way: the Golden Earring exists this year already 50 years. Gitarist George Kooijmans is now 63 years old and the bassplayer Rinus Gerritsen is even 65 years old. And they are still touring around in the Netherlands !

@lukas0r I love the live version, however is there any way you could throw the lyrics on top of the studio version? Thanks in advance.
