I got this game, tried playing it... I just couldnt stand the way you walk with the mouse, how you had to swing the mouse back and forth to attack, i couldnt even tell if i was hitting it or not. Im just happy people liked this game enough to get morrowind, oblivion and skyrim out, i just cant play this game...

@AudioGhostX Actually, you can walk with the arrow keys. As for the attacking, I think it works better in this game than in Daggerfall.

I think Winterhold should have the same music in Skyrim as it does in Arena. I really want this game. I was only a year old when it was released, that's probably why I never played it :p

@jkyet No. It is running slower than normal, but the game does not have a clock. What that means, it can run at any FPS. That is not good for newer computers because they have SO much more power than the old DOS machines that this was originally played on. I have sped it up tremendously since then, but what we call 'fluent' means that all of your actions are in hyper-speed.

Anyone who says this looks like Minecraft are idiots. Minecraft looks like Arena if anything, but it doesn't. The only thing that MC and TES: Arena have in common is that they are first-person, have low-res textures, and walls are block-like. Arena was made in 1994. Minecraft started around 2009.

Which is the best option imo, some areas will rip you to giblets if you're not high enough and others will be suited to your level, this actually allows for greater freedom and a chance to explore, Oblivion was copy/pasted so there wasn't much to see, but skyrim will be giant, epic and beautiful. My chief concern is that dragons don't become the new cliff racers..

A great way to avoid lag in demanding games like these is to have a dedicated graphics card like a voodoo, or tnt, also you should bring up your ram to 16megs or 32 if you can afford it.

I know it's not all about graphics, but spoiling yourself with fluid 20+ frame rates and most detail sliders half way isn't gonna make a game worse either.
