@craiggo31 I remember that too, I thought Gene Pitney handled the situation very well. He apologised and when asked why he said something along the lines of: I have seen Jerry Lee many times and he is just capable of so much better than what he produced tonight. I'd have to agree with him, I don't think Jerry Lee would say this was his best work.

Later Bert Newton took the piss out of Jerry Lee by mimicking him.
