Your probably allergic to the alkaline base like I am!! Boil water, pour it in a clean kitchen sink add vinegar let the hair soak in the mixture for 15 mins rinse with warm water and let them dry! I have to do these or my head, scalp neck everything is on fire! Hope that helps

for the itching, my mama told me to pick up either sea breeze or witch hazel. Take a cotton pad and just run it along your scalp. After that just apply some melted coconut oil or olive oil so you're not dry. It works really well! just a tip for the next time.

@NaturallyNesi08 Hey Nesi!! To keep my style fresh, I would keep my braids in a bonnet and the front tied down in a satin scarf, oiled up. I would do this whenever I was just lying around:-)

i love your braids!! when i have an itchy scalp and don't want to wash my scalp, i use my Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive Heavy Cream, but i know some people just mix some tea tree oil in a carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, etc).

I love them on you! What happened to "Be basic about it" at the end of your videos? I meant to ask you in your last video and I got distracted and forgot to comment. I can't wear any type of extensions on my hair because I get a rash. I did that style you have now many years ago and only lasted 5 days before my mom took it off. She said my scalp looked like a cat attacked me. My head is soooo sensitive. Lol!

They can take a lot of time to install and since I added extensions, that was even more hair to moisturize!! Not basic!! But I'll be back in action on my usual game plan!! Those braids are super cute on you and they look good down. I have seen a new organic line at Sally's that is dedicated to braid styling and I am using their braid marinade detangler right now when I take down twists and braids and it is pretty awesome. I think they have a scalp spray and that may work for the itchies, some scalps are just too sensitive for that synthetic hair.

@OurLadyLourdes You might want to try an apple cider vinegar solution rinse for itching. If that doesn't work, there are medicated shampoos to treat itch. I remember someone using vinegar for itch when her hair was in braids and it worked for her, but she eventually had to use a medicated shampoo to get rid of it completely.

put some tea tree oil, a little conditioner and distilled water in a spray bottle and spritz your scalp,,,IM TELLING YOU...it works!!! I have tried everything on the planet and i stay braided up alot!!....it also helps to do a ACV rinse.

Greetings OurLadyLourdes, I love the Box Braids on you. Perfect length for versatile styling. I stop my itching with the use of 100% pure Tea Tree Oil mix it with a carrier oil of your choice. 4oz of carrier oil to 1/2 oz of Tea Tree Oil. You can always make less if you don't use it on a regular basis. I put mine in an applicator bottle or a small glass bottle with a dropper applicator to be applied directly to the scalp. A little goes a long way . I hope this helps{:-).

Another youtuber suggested to me when using kanekalon hair to try soaking the hair in warm water and apple cider vinegar for like 5 mins and rinsing it to remove the alkaline base from the hair, it makes it a lot softer too..she said it helps with the itching and dryness :) YOUR BRAIDS R VERY PRETTY :)

You look SO CUTE! I recommend Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In conditioner spray or Carol's Daughter TUI Leave-In Conditioner spray for the itch. It's light, convenient, moisturizes your hair & scalp, and smells so GOOD! It's a bit pricey, but i'd say it's a good investment.

@iloveseattle123 Thank you!! It took about 6 hours. The products used to smooth and weigh my natural hair was Shea butter. On my roots, she applied a conditioning gel. I'm sorry, I don't remember the name. She also added the ORS pudding to some of my roots too!!
