Please help me with my constant lag. Every time i come in contact with some sort of organism (mutant, stalker, bandit, etc.), my system lags. It may be a problem with my settings, but theyre not maxed out or anything. Here's my system specifications (might be a little non-specific):

-Phenom 6-core

-x2 2-GB RAM sticks

- black series motherboard

- ATI Radeon *5-something* 1GB

- 1 TB hard drive.

I getting so mad, because there should be no reason for any sort of lag.

@MrNiinjaGuy The fact that you don't know what your video card is is a problem. 5 something doesn't say anything. A 5870 would run it very well, while a 5550 would cry in almost any game.

I mainly play on 360 but I also play Killin floor, Gmod, STALKER: clear sky, red orchestra and crysis on PC. I never said anything about graphics or gameplay or anything like that so you should make sure you're talking to the right person. and BTW I have sniper: ghost warrior and it's not that bad, just repetitive.

When you look at some objects from a short distance they will look much better than Crysis, like tesslated objects/Rocks but in general Crysis is better ,also the gameplay of Crysis is better, Tropics with Sunrays will actually show DX11 advantage with Crysis 2 and lets hope it wont be Ported Game from consoles or not crippled by nvidia PhysX, though Im sure it wont as Crytek will deny such thing.

one thing i noticed right off the bat is the textures for the hands and weapons.

Another thing is that the objects in the game are shaped oddly and are in odd places. Like the trunk of the trees, they just kinda stick straight out of the ground, it doesnt look natural. And a lot of the rocks in the game are in odd places, in this video i saw a giant boulder sitting on the side of a fairly steep hill, when in reality it would have rolled down the hill into the water. It just doesnt seem normal

All those crysis whore are probably the same loving avatar.Stalker looks feel real. crysis is blue sky with sand rock and random generate trees.Crysis is pleasing to the eye I agree with that but thats why it appeal to more peoples it is mainframe.Look new crysis in new york its a basic shooter.All you graphic whores should try stalker its much more immersive.Crysis is more of a demo to me

@HiggsPat I love Crysis, but I definitely like Stalker more. It looks and sounds awesome. People always talk about BC2 looking awesome and having great sound, but the sound isn't THAT great, and it barely compares to this. This wins in graphics too.

That's what it was intended as from the start. Crysis pioneered the DX10 forefront and almost all DX10 adaptations come from crysis.

Agreed though CoP is a much more immersion game, although it won't run in DX10 or 11 for me. It tried to use more than 3.6GB if ram (Not system total: that was 5.1GB) and then crashes. For anyone with more than average knowledge it's obviously an x32 app problem.

Would be awesome if someone has a solution to this.

well with my Samsung 997Mb 19" Monitor i can use 2048*1536 resolution with 75hz... no flat or led screen can do that with that size, put game antialasiasing to max, maximum distance drawing, maximum hog, shadows etc, and you have a good looking game.

I don't own this game, yet, but by looking at the video, it looks like the lighting effects beats Crysis, hands down. Textures look closely similar, but I can't remember the textures well enough to judge completely. Water and plants are also beat by Crysis, but this one looks like it might hold my attention far better.

One of the videos I saw, the guy doing the video mentioned it was like Morrowind, and the more I look at videos of it, the more he seems correct. Will get this game soon.
