the VG30E motor is well known if its exhaust manifold gasket failure.... the used to small a stud to hold the manifold in place beause its gots hot and cools down....... they tied to fix it when they changed to the VQ30 and VQ35 with a bigger stud but it didnt work.... to bad I really my 95hardbody 4x4

Dont know if you ever got this fixed, but pathys tend to have exhaust studs break off and it causes a ticking noise.. it's nothing serious really, but if itr annoys you, its fixable. I dont know if you're a member of NPORA, but if you need anymore help be sure to google us and we'll be more than glad to help. :)
When was the last time you did a timing belt change? It could even be a bad bearing in the water pump. Its hard to tell from video, but check out nissanpathfinders . net to get some good help, cheers man!
Lifters!! Bad lubrication in the valves, possible sludge in the valve cover preventing good lubrication. An engine flush and synthetic oil will prevent and will have prevented this. this is normal on cold starts but when oil pressure increases it is gone.
@OnlyInAJeepOffRoad yes ... you have to change your oil to 20-50 cynthetic and add "restore" you can find them at autozone and the tik noise will be gone...

its either an exhaust leak from the manifold or a lose lifter kicking against the rod.

mine sounds exactly the same i thought it was a rod but my mechanic told me that the noise is the lifters
