  • its either an exhaust leak from the manifold or a lose lifter kicking against the rod.

  • you've got some sludge man! some sea foam might cure your issues...

  • mine sounds exactly the same i thought it was a rod but my mechanic told me that the noise is the lifters

  • Dont know if you ever got this fixed, but pathys tend to have exhaust studs break off and it causes a ticking noise.. it's nothing serious really, but if itr annoys you, its fixable. I dont know if you're a member of NPORA, but if you need anymore help be sure to google us and we'll be more than glad to help. :)

  • lifters, easy fix

  • excuse me but anyone know what is this Engine called ? is it VG30DE or not

my dad just swap it in to my Isuzu lol*

  • When was the last time you did a timing belt change? It could even be a bad bearing in the water pump. Its hard to tell from video, but check out nissanpathfinders . net to get some good help, cheers man!

  • Lifters!! Bad lubrication in the valves, possible sludge in the valve cover preventing good lubrication. An engine flush and synthetic oil will prevent and will have prevented this. this is normal on cold starts but when oil pressure increases it is gone.

  • @OnlyInAJeepOffRoad yes ... you have to change your oil to 20-50 cynthetic and add "restore" you can find them at autozone and the tik noise will be gone...
