Bloody amazing. When there is no camera on I am capable of some extraordinary playing (sometimes). But turn the camera on and I turn into an idiot. I'd like to change that.
Thanks! Not my personal favorite performance, this is from my early YouTube period when I played everything too rushed and kind of nervous... On the other hand, check out my recent cover of "Thank You" for a much better performance and better audio/video quality... Thanks again!
@jreichbart Stop doing the covers and start doing some originals..."U" deserve it Man...Really....!!!!!..I'd travel a 100 miles to hear you do this live with a band of real good guys...
Yes I love your version of Thank you. The mystical vibe of No Quarter can be captured slowed down. Do you ever work with different tunings like Page? In any event it's all good.
That was awesome, I wouldn't change a thing...would love to learn how to arrange a song for solo guitar like that...love the mix of melody and harmony...great tone too!
Thanks! Check out some of my more recent uploads for better sound and video quality. Also, I do have a two hour DVD lesson titled "How to arrange any song for solo guitar", sounds exactly like what you're looking for... When you play the video above, an annotation text will come up. Click right on the text to see a sample. Thanks again!
I like the tempo you covered it in, BECAUSE you said JAZZ, it is okay by me. If this was supposed to be a "dead-on" remake, I would say slow it down, but it's not, and your take on it is simply wonderful. Don't take it down. Ever.
Thanks! A little fast to my taste too. I always do it slower and relaxed on the gig but this is from my early YouTube "phase" when I'd still get nervous and play too fast. I've considered removing this but it has so many nice comments, it'd be too bad... Check out my more recent videos, including "Thank You", also LZ. Thanks again!
Great work! Very good player. You look kinda bored during the non-jazz rock riff sections - I guess they're kinda mandatory to play to keep true to No Quarter.
i find it funny how people never seen No Quarter as a jazz song. JPJ was a jazz head and it reflects even in the original. Blues doesn't have that many chord changes and overall I LOVE YOUR VERSION! AGHHH (i came)
Ha ha ha ha. You bastard! I been wanting to to a version of this for a few months now... thought I was original. Ill do a response. Mine will be a lot slower...
Thanks! You know, I always do play this slower, it's just that when I was starting out on YouTube, I'd get all nervous in front of the camera and play too fast. Check out some of my more recent videos. Thanks again!
You are an inspirations, at the same level as Pat Metheny! Sorry, but for me, yes... I love Led Zeppelin, and love Jazz even more! What happens if you cover a CCR song, lol! Jazz it up, wonder how it would sound like too!
Man, you are AMAZING! Led Zeppelin on jazz guitar sounded ridiculous, but I love your Steely Dan treatments so I gave this a try. Needless to say, I loved this too. You inspire me, and I bet lots of other guitarists as well. Thank you.
I thought I was going to hate this but it's just way too good. Really nice playing. I'm a huge Zep fan but I also love jazz. Thank you for NOT making it lounge.
Wow...outstanding! Very creative. I like the phrasing with all the percussive strumming; you still manage to capture that haunting keyboard vibe from the original recording with your guitar.
Thank you! I only regret that this tune was done in my early YouTube days so the sound is so-so and there is a certain nervousness in the playing. Please check out some of my more recent videos. I also expect to upload another LZ tune in the near future so please subscribe to receive a notice. Thanks again!

I also love the way you play the wind cries marry. your playing has just blown me away. thanks for sharing with us.
You are a phenominal player who really cares about his fans, No Quarter may be my all time favorite Led song because the grinding sound of the lead guitar massages my ears, you do a fantastic job on this. Wow, I came on youtube searching for jazz arrangements of this song after seeing a pianist and drummer perform it as a jazz piece earlier this week, and I'm pleased with what I found here! Awesome job, you're a great player! I'm subscribed, can't wait to hear more.
I do the same (though I don't get them done as often as possible). I mostly play jazz on an acoustic (an OM) as the scratchier, slightly drier tone works very well in restaurant settings.

Ha! That's so cool how these songs can transpose different styles and still "work." One of the amazing things about music. It's also neat how songs can take on a different character when transposed into different tempos. If you played that thing a little faster you could do a "be-bop" version of "No Quarter."
Thanks! From my profile: "I am amazed and flattered at the amount of requests I have been getting for TABs. Unfortunately, all my arrangements are in my head and as I come from jazz, they are not even exactly the same every time I play them. So no, I don't have any TABs. The only way for me to share my arrangements is either a private lesson, seminar/class or video lesson which I am wiling to try for a fee. Please let me know if you are interested."

Don't forget to subscribe. Thanks again!

Amazing sound! I'm getting flashbacks! Do you do anything from more contemporary rock groups?
