  • Who would ever dislike this? This is a masterpiece!

  • ho wthe heck did he make thiss i wish i could play it but i cant understand it... pooo its soo amazing ive fallen asleep to this many times to lol

  • tabs pleease

  • um ultimate-guitar please

  • You need to put a picture or something up to look at that represents what this song makes you feel........unless.....unless you already did that...hmmm...

  • It's true, I've met the band and they're all nice as hell, and Paul kicks ass! It's better that he doesn't have an ego because that means he will continue to better himself...which seems impossible, but just imagine....

  • as unlikely as it sounds i believe paul may even surpass petrucci at the rate he's going. petrucci writes amazing solos but paul is hot on his trail

  • I don't doubt that he could do it in the least, and there is probably no better guitarist than Petrucci for Paul to try to surpass.

  • two different styles of music = two different types of skill.

i like paul's tone better but i still think petrucci is considerably more talented.

  • i dont know, paul can blend jazz in so smoothly with no odd chunks to fill.and really petrucci is great, but there are many better unknown guitarists.

  • true story. even youtube has some quite adept players.

But if you want to hear petrucci play a bit of jazz, you should check out "An Evening With John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess". It's amazing.

  • r u serious

  • fuck yeah, dead serious, petrucci is a truley awesome guitarist, but Im sure there are hundreds of guitarists with no commercial exposure who could play circles around him, just like Malmsteen,I love Yngwies style, perfection and insane speed, but Im sure there are at least a few hundred people who arent famous at all that could murder him.Just because youre famous doesnt make you the best.

  • what does this have to do with paul being better than petrucci

  • I never said he was better, because from s technical standpoint thats probably wrong, but I still think paul is an amazing guitarist, and given the amount of years john has had to play, paul would blow him away.john is about 40 right, and paul is barely 30,so Id say in about ten years or so,paul will be unbelieveable, like more than he already is.

  • yeah probably

  • petrucci writes amazing solos but everything paul does is just amazing solos complex rhythms clean rhythms sweep picking and other stuff so in my opinion i think paul is better.

  • Yeah, but Paul misses a lot of notes and play too fast for himself. I would have to choose Petrucci.

  • really? do u have proff of that cuz when i went to go see them he was flawless, same with dusty.

  • i agree with all the commenst below.

    greatest interlude ever

so great, i play it at night to help myself fall asleep.

btw, anyone have the guitar tabs for it?

i tried to learn it from the video but its way to hard.

  • Yeah, he plays it really fast in the video.

  • yeah but it still sounds really good.

  • This whole song is literally a masterpiece of art. The two hand tapping technique is a triumphant and inspiring creation and the echo and delay are the great seams that hold the bundle of notes in one beautiful stature. BTBAM rules the world!!

  • That was the most beautiful way I've ever heard anything described and it was completely justified for this song. Thank you.

  • This Is My Favorite Between The Buried And Me Song. This Is Also Probably The Most Beaytiful Thing I Have Ever Heard In My Entire Life. Fuckin Awsome

  • this is one of my favorite songs. its like a story is being told and you feel the emotion in it, the overcoming of something great, and the value of your new realizations are cherished.

  • HAHAH!!! It's so funny you say that because my emotions always go wild when I hear this song. I always start seeing all kinds of shit (I play it on repeat when I can't sleep). It IS like a story is being told/played. For me, I perceive something (anything at all) a certain way until there is a suspense at the end of the song. It all builds up until that last strum. And by that last strum, my perceptions change.

  • this shows how talented they are its great
