My personal view is its all about karma. We should be thankful of our prosperity, and thats mostly due to raw materiels and fair trade agreements. Many of the countries that go to shit, have or had plenty of natural wealth of their own, but it takes fair trade agreements to make it possible. Countries with no food are customers for those that do. Libya had trade sanctions, and was owed many billions by many western countries, and you watch them all write most of it off in one form or another.

And yes Australia is a secular state but it's the people that make the beating heart of a nation. Laws are only as good as the paper they are written on. People tend to make their own laws and their own opinions in society that have nothing whatsoever to do with the Australian Goverment. They have preconceived beliefs and cultures that have nothing to do with Australian law. I don't think the Australian govt have a clue what the hell they are doing anyway when it comes to this issue!!

Well last time I checked religion was run by people. Driven by people. Have a look at the UK model. Is it working over there? No. I have a few friends who are English and they are very disappointed with the way it's going over there. Time can change anything and just because Australia was founded one way, does not mean that change can't happen. All I am saying is let's be AWARE and protect our way of life for future generations....

@Hunny1au Do you know what means secular state? Australia is that, and it is not going to be immigrants who's gonna change it. After all, the ''founders'' of today's Australia were british and irish christians who until very recently still used laws based on christian values, with christianity being the official religion of Australia, how that is different from what some arab countries do with the Sharia Law?
Australia is a SECULAR state, that means that religions will not change it.
