@MissPressPlay the hp tv tuner is it, unless you want to watch home cable, then you need a coaxial cable.

So, the analog cable that you'd normally put in the back of your TV, can't be stuck directly into the HP Digital/Analog TV-Tuner, right? It does need sort of a transition cable, doesn't it? Thanks in advance for your response :-).

You need the little cable that you can see in the video that handles audio and video via rCA connections. You need a cable to go from the back of the TV to the little connector cable that attaches to the tuner card. I have a6 foot cable I can kick in free from GetAdapters, but i don't have anything longer. Thanks for watching. JR

Yes, it definitely works with the dv6 models as long as the DV6 is running Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system. The GetAdapters website has the tuner with different options and you get free extras too. JR

No. you just need to have a laptop with an expresscard 54 slot, running Vista or Windows 7; and then it will pick up analog or digital TV signals for free out of the air using the antenna you can get with the card from GetAdapters. JR

Hi. It will work in Jamaica but the laptop needs an expressacrd 54 slot. and I don't think the Acer you have has that interface slot.

Yes, it will work with xbox, but you have to have vista or windows 7. It won't work with the media center that came with XP, unless you have the very last version that came out just before Vista; it's called Windows Media Center 2005. It only came out for a couple months at Christmas 2007 because they didn't have Vista ready for Christmas on time.

Hi. The tuner from GetAdapters comes with an antenna that picks up signals from the air exactly like a TV set. It basically turns the laptop into a TV. Like any antenna, once you get too far away from the signal, it won't get a channel, but if you are anywhere near a major city, then you'll probably get all that city's channels. JR

Hi. Yes, the little AV cable that comes with it from GetAdapters allows for an easy cable hookup. Just run the cable from your cablebox to your laptop instead of your TV. Or put in a splitter and run it to both. JR

Hi. There are two kinds. I use the hp expresscard54 digital/analog combo TV Tuner. If you just plan on using it with comcast, and not on the go, you can get the less expensive hp expresscard54 Analog-only tuner. It won't get digital signals free out of the air, but it will pass the comcast digital signal through to your laptop. GetAdapters (my website) has both the digital/analog combo tuner and the analog only tuner. You can get the cards with the basic cable set or with all the accessories. JR

Hi, Yes you can watch comcast by simply using the AV cable (that comes with the tuner from GetAdapters) to attach to a cable coming from your comcast box. It passes the comcast signal through to the laptop. With that configuration, you would still need to change channels with the comcast remote, pointed at the comcast box.

You have to buy a tuner card that is specifically designed for HD. Most newer cards already come HD ready. As far as the channels, it depends on how you connect the card to your TV source. For my desktop PC, I plugged my cable box into the card using the 3 RCA cables, which allows me to use my cable box and it's remote to switch channels You can also connect directly to the cable signal by using the cable that comes directly from your wall The card will display as many channels as are available

I have an hp laptop with a TV-Tuner DVB-T incorporated. The Windows Media Center never gives me the option to choose analog, digital, cable, antenna or anything. Could you please tell me which version of WMC is this one? Im from Argentina, i plug the antenna or my cable service cable and the WMC never detects any channels.
