i can look at it if you want. off the top of my head a carb sync may need to be done. if im with the bike i think i can fix it. im off work tomorrow but will be busy doing drywall. next time i have off would be monday and tuesday next week then the following weekend ill be out of town. so if theres a time monday or tuesday i can drive over there and look at it. no cost just more experience. hopefully i can get it, whatever it is shouldn' t be a big deal.
You definitely have spark and fuel for a short time. Just need to find out what is turning off fuel or spark. There are some pieces of equipment to determine that if you have a mechanic friend to borrow them from.
Let me call my grandson. He just came back from Harley mechanics school. They trained on all brands. I will see what he says.
@ToastToGo well earlier i got it to run at just 1K rpm which still isnt idle for me and it was rough. and it stayed there untill i tried opening the throttle then it died
its in my hallway the gas tank is in my living room the fuel filter is off and i wanna try checking the fuel pump to see if that works but if not that i gotta check the intake manifold and the carbs

@TigTrager a carb sync is the last thing id do because of the expense
helping pay a mortgage is the top priority
imma try chucks idea and put in fresh fuel
and clean the petcock out
i wouldnt think a carb synch though. it was fine a few days before
i put a little bit of fuel stabilizer in there but it mighta had crap inside it because its been in my house for a while
starting fluid didnt work at all
so time to drain the fuel put in fresh and give it a shot :D

Contaminated fuel could be a possibility and easy to test.
