i personaly know Jon Beasley the test pilot for the f-35 he also designed the flight system for f-22 and was flying the f-117 back in 1985 f-35 as explained to me by him is less stealthy, slightly but also holds more weapons than the f-22

There is a problem with the F22 Raptor. It is its moisture condensation within its avionics instruments which has caused the F22 to be grounded in the Andersen AF base in Guam in 2009, for a while, whilst they tried to dry out the instruments, ouch, not perfect afterall.
The other problem is fine granual 'sand' particles contamination in the engine which will means that it will need better filtering systems for 'desert' conditions, Once again, ouch, not perfect!
no its ok - just checked it out...btw you guys know opposing 'friendlies' - even allies dont utilise full operational capabilities during 'shoot offs'...but the typhoon does kick ass...
