HITstrongman, I was hoping you could answer a question of mine, as you follow the strongman circuit closely. Why is it that Mariusz stopped competing at Arnold's and never went to Fortissimus?

I understand not competing in ISFA as he's a WSM guy, and therefore restricted, but I can only think that he stopped going to Arnold's because he decided he couldn't win that style. I've never liked Mariusz due to this, as Zydrunas never backed down from WSM, though he was at a disadvantage in the races.

@tgtennis Alot of people feel the same way you do about Mariusz being very selective about which shows he does. After Poundstone beat him at the 2008 Mohegan Sun, he dropped out of the rest of the Super Series events for the rest of 2008.

@tlast2O12dude Yea I was wondering the same thing. He was doing well and at such a young age, definitely could've been a great competitor.

@tlast2O12dude Kevin started suffering from one injury after another starting in 2009. He ended up getting the nickname "Wounded Nee".

@powerlifterism1 Kevin was on MTV's True Life "I want the perfect body 2" and at that time he was drug free, in my opinion I think he still is drug free now as well.

@powerlifterism1 I am not 100% sure, maybe I am wrong who knows? Is there really any way to know for sure who is and who isnt? Honestly I dont really care either way. I just hope Kevin heals up and comes back strong.

@MetalObsession No, he still competes in the smaller shows like Strongman Champions League and Strongman Super Series but he was not in WSM in 2010. He had alot of nerve damage from his bicep tears that takes a long time to fully heal.
