this is the most basic thing. wont always work if the network is setup correctly and at times wen it gets you to the site such as youtube you click a video and bam site blocked again. your much better off using tor park it uses proxy by itself and changes your ip every 5 min from diff country making you completely invisible online all together and getting you past there blocks. and oh for linux go with ubuntu youll love :) TIP: take a look at backtrack 5 while your at it ^_^
lmao i was like oh let me guess i hit run then cmd.. lol i knew the steps but only 1 problem school blocks run but not cmd but cmd is blocked by school administratior. but you can go to proxy websites. sometimes there hard to find though. sometimes they dont even work.
You can also do an "nslookup". Just open command prompt, type nslookup, then you get something like this ">"
then type the website you want, and your DNS server should return the current IP. This NORMALLY works, EVEN IF U cANT PING. (for more detail, ping uses ICMP, and an NSlookup will use TCP port 53 [DNS] which would bypass a ping blocker.)
Yeah, I just recently heard of Linux (I'm kinda new to computers and I'm an aspiring soft wear programmer) I might dual boot my XP with Linux. I have to see the differences and see if I want to make a permanent switch. we'll see
Dude, you are a freaking noob. 1.) generally the average tech with a brain CAN and WILL block IPs directly.. not to mention a website's address is generally STATIC and you can't expect to go back and for it to change.
actually, I have done this, same website in a couple minutes and it's different every time, and this isn't ment to hack anyone, it's so you can check messages on myspace and facebook on blocked computers. I'm 15 and thought this was cool, sorry for making a video...

Try doing the trick from a different computer, it might work. If not, you may need to go back to proxys, it works at my school..
