  • should the water be still when you breed them?

and how long before i take the father out of the tank

  • @squirrelboi01 Yes, the water should be still. Some people will do it earlier, but I took him out when the fry became free swimming.

  • please watch my betta breeding video

  • You're one lucky guy to have these beauties.. :)

  • How old when the males start to fight?

  • thats insane, lot of them lived.

  • are you still selling i want to get my betta a mate?

  • @mahlanimahlani Unfortunately not. I moved overseas almost a year ago and no longer have the equipment for breeding fish. :(

  • how many gallons/litters to breed that many fry? please answer

  • @aljondavid Mostly what I've heard suggests that you should start with a minimum of a 10 gallon tank and then either separate them or move them into a larger tank as they get older. Hope this helps!

  • at what age do you seperate them??

  • @EmixEmergency I would say you should start separating them as soon as they start picking on each other, but everyone will say something a little different.

  • @FishKuchibiru wait, could you just separate all of the males? Females are usually less aggressive, and they're all associated with each other, so they could stay in the same tank, right? Of course, you'd have to separate all of the males from each other.

  • @Pop12646Okami To be perfectly honest, it depends on the temperament of the fish. There are some males that are sweethearts and there are some females that are absolutely nasty. It's best to watch your fish and see how they act.

  • Are they all females ? Because their tail is short

  • @Noushiyo No, the tails on the males will get larger as they get older.

  • Did you seperate them? If so, when? And how many survived? Just asking, because I want to breed mine.

  • What is the percentage of getting alot of males? Just asking

  • just wondering.. do male fry develop colours from their dads or are they just random colours?

  • When to jar betta juveniles?

  • Muy bien

  • hi quick question how many baby bettas can a female have ?

  • @101garciaboy I've heard of a female laying as many as 400 eggs. There are several factors such as how old the female is and if she's ever spawned before. I think my first attempt at breeding resulted in somewhere between 100 and 200 eggs.

  • @101garciaboy Mine layed 119 eggs :)

  • why aren't they fighting?

  • Be a responsible breeder. Have homes for the juvies. Remember, they aren't called fighting fish for nothing.

  • named my new lil girl blushes cause she has a white body with redpinkish fins and redishpinkish spot on each side of her face so it looks like shes blushing, the old guy I have had for 2 years that was probly a 1 old when i got him I named jaws caust when he eats he swims up all slow and chomps down all crazy n fast, half the time he misses the food 1st try or 2 cause hes in such a dam hurry, any ways it makes me think of great whites after seals the way he eats his pellets flakes and bworms

  • I got a female I wana breed with my male, hes ready but shes way smaller I think shes only 3months, so how long tell I can bread her 6 months 9 a whole year? my male is about a year maby less he just became full grown he was lil when I got him 4 months ago they match soo well I cant wate tell shes a lil older, hope he likes her

  • @whiteboypatrickkelly The youngest age I've heard of anyone breeding their bettas at is six months, because this is around the time they reach sexual maturity. I'd keep an eye on her til this point though, because you don't want her to be too small otherwise the male might hurt her really badly or even kill her. Conversely, you don't want a female that's bigger than the male either. Good luck!

  • @FishKuchibiru ya I got probly 4 month wate then cause hes probly 3 times wider and longer then her but like i said he just got full grown but he was alot smaller then my 2year betta and now they the same size he wasnt as small as she is but I think the age she is now is like the age he was when I got him, Ill try n make a vid my betta is a dark pink like almost red when the lights off and a bright metalic type pink he looks so bitchen under the light so I named him Floyd like pink floyd

  • @FishKuchibiru she musta been older cause I put her with him in a breader thing so he could see her but not get to her.... seemed like he was showing off or trying to kill her he keep flairing, but the next morning 5 by5 inchbuble nest so i set her free, in the last 48 hours I have seen them spawn 3 times and eggs fall so I took her out after the 3rd time, I think i got 2 realy compatable fish, he wasnt trying to kill her at all, and after they would spawn she would go to the othere side .....

  • @FishKuchibiru and then when shes full of eggs again she goes back over to him and the nest, and all i realy did was just dump her in there and they clicked right up like they been long lost lovers or somthing, i hear some people talk about breading bettas like its super hard to do but not with me my male is soo sweet though hes friends with platies n african dwarf frogs corycats anything I have put in his tank he hasnt minded, in fact hes scared of othere betta males he wont fight he runs lol

  • @whiteboypatrickkelly as soon as the girl shows a white spot on her under belly she is ready to go

  • They are not fry anymore. They are fry in there first 10 weeks of life. When they start looking more like a fish, they are not fry anymore

  • @Thehero137 Yeah. There's a bunch of different terms for them. I was just being lazy. xD At this point they would be called "juveniles".

  • Wow~They are so cute~

  • how can you tell if they are male or female before they reach adulthood

  • @NinjanateNeko There are several pointers you can look for. Some are behavioral and some are physical. For example, males will have longer fins and more elongated bodies as well as a larger amount of gill peaking out from under their gill covers. Females will (after a point) have egg spots as well as wider bodies. Hope that helps a bit!

  • @FishKuchibiru Because a short fin could be a king beta, and girls also have the ability to grow long fins as well. I would have to say egg spots or a white dot on the under belly of the beta, makes it a girl fish.

  • How long after hatching can u differenciate the sexes?

  • @mendhamm It really depends on your experience. I can usually start to tell around the time the egg spots on the females appear, but I know that there are people out there who can tell even earlier.

  • How do you keep the tank so clean?

  • @suhmbodie I have a regular cleaning schedule for it. Also the placement of your tank can affect how clean it stays. For example, if it's in direct sunlight a lot of algae will grow.

  • what colour was the couple?

  • @MrAlbi1983 Sorry for the late reply (I moved overseas recently)! The father was a dark blue and the mother was pink.

  • @nakiaguppy23highway I really don't know. Some of them have been nippy with each other and I did have to separate one out the other day, but that's really been about it. I keep waiting for them to start before I jar them, because otherwise I don't really see a point. xD
