@looseele depends on how you went in i guess. if your asking if you would float, then probably not. you would break through the top easily and at most, within 5 seconds, your whole body would disintegrate upon the heat of the lava(2k-2.5k degrees fh)

@mmzamericangirl you might be thinking about pumice/scoria. This is a volcanic rock that has air pockets in it which allows it to float. It also makes the rock easily weathered. So it would not survive on the open ocean for an extended period. If you are referring to the lava interacting with the water, the lava would quench and, since it is more dense, sink to the ocean floor.

@mssherman24 The lava isn't pink. The camera is just having a hard time with the extremely bright lava against a very dark background. if you watch the same shot for a longer time you'll see the lava is actually bright orange.
