Next time someone says Kathy Greenwood sucks, just keep in mind she did Second City... the Canadian equivilant of SNL.

And she actually won TWO awards for her work with SC... so just remember that the next time someone feels like saying she sucks.

I actually agree with you there.

I think it's just most people have seen her on Whose Line, but she din't get a fair chance on it. She was with people that were very used to it, and also the audience really loved. And for some reason she was excluded from games or just "the girl" to make a scene.

I think it's unfair the way she's regarded.

Exactly! She even said herself that the producers of Whose Line wouldn't allow her to participate in certain games on the show... she even said she WANTED to do Hoedowns but they wouldn't let her (though legend has it there is an unaired Hoedown they let her do).

Sometimes I wonder if it was because the producers wanted to make sure she didn't overshadow her predacesor Denny Siegel, who literally could be "one of the guys". At least Colin and Deb kept pestering for Kathy to be given a chance.

You could see a lot of the time that she was trying to say something, but the others kept interrupting. Or she'd say something that had a lot of potential but she wasn't able to develope it.

I remember reading an interview with Deb, and she said the producers in general were always "very weird with female performers"; again, Denny Siegel's performances seemed to have unlimited boundaries, meanwhile Kathy seemed to always be reduced to like guessing games and things like that.

I think they were scared. Kathy DOES have potential, I know, I've seen her other work, she's one of the best... I think she was the light, and they were the bushel.

Deb and Colin did a show in canada called Getting Along Famously. they both star in the show. Patrick McKenna was in the show as well. unfortunately there weren't that many episodes aired before the show was canceled. look it up here on youtube. it's worth the watch :)
