Could someone give me tips ... i got an african kalimba with 8 notes on the right and 6 on the left seem like being pentatonic 3th inversion but somewhere notes are the same on a side an the other annyway your kalimba is much more usable than mine and i like the beethoven on kalimba its smooth ...
OOO that's a great idea. The only downfall is now you don't have the sound hole... But isn't a major deal, thanks for making and showing me this one. I think it's better than the previous one, and it has alot more notes :) Thanks
I am very impressed with the richness of the sound! What Kalimba owner wouldn't want one of their own? Thank you for introducing this version of the Kalimba to the world. It's a new era in the history of the instrument!
by the way, the playing is beautiful!

If you were to make a second chromatic video, put a mirror on the floor so we can see both sides at once.

It's kind of a fifth wheel. How do you put that thing down?

There is a model with sound hole.
Sharon felt more comfortable using the
board-mounted kalimba, as it is smaller
and a better fit to her hands. -M

this is so cool. ive got an alto kalimba and was thinking about doing the same thing to make it chromatic. how much does this go for Mark?
scot898 2 years ago
There are two main variations, and 3 different ways to set each up (adding slightly to the cost) - so they range from $130 to $150 I think -M

What key is this in? i.e., what is the key without the pentatonic on the back?
abcfcougar 3 years ago
How much are these going to cost? I'd like to reserve one if they're not too expensive.

Hello - I don't have a price quote from Africa,
but my estimate is that they will be about $150
or less. I just ordered them last night, and I ordered twice the number that were reserved, so
one could have your name on it. -Mark
