I love the "merry mex" but he is no teacher LoL. He keeps saying things like "hitting area" and "Hit" down on it yet there is NO HIT in his swing. In his book as in this video he talks about holding on with the last 3 fingers of the left hand. In his book he says pull hard with those 3 fingers and keep the right hand out of it, No HITTING folks!! Pull with the last 3 fingers hard if you want to SWING like Trevino:)
Would that 6-wood Lee is using still be legal to use today?? Looks like a good club for a beginner to use to master fairway woods and tricky lies in rough patches.
to all modern pros: yes,you are allowed to have a personality. just watch this man's videos on youtube and see for yourself. would somebody please break the factory molds on the modern tour pro? booooring.
Production Meeting, Dallas, TX, Fall 1984 (a few months after Lee's PGA Champ. win)
Producer: We're just going to go with the old "how many times have you" drill, have old Mex hit one tight and then use Jimmy Houston's Fishing Show music in between. A license to print money people!
dont forget this is when they used persimmon woods and balata balls, it was a totally different game to what is played today, and there was alot more skill involved back then!!!
I don't think the ladies were talking about hitting fat shots lee. I think they were asking you something else buddy.

3:10. "The 6 wood". Probably had a loft very close to today's high loft 7 wood or strong lofted 9 woods.

Apparently the golden rule of golf is to play the ball back in one's stance and hit down on it. lol

@uscjd2004 yeah, but when you have consistency problems, you can always put it further back and hit further down on it :)
