cover those walls and the AG with mylar-foliage, this will improve the effectiveness of the light. if you use CFLs, you should use every tiny bit of the light.

also, you could use just one clone/seedling in this setup and make it really bushy with LST, instead of using several clones/seedlings.

with a wood-frame and chicken-wire, you could try SCROG and get a much higher yield. just google it.

I'm about to get an aero garden too and it seems from all of the vids I've seen thus far, no one is able to get a decent yield. Gonna answer a few questions, and supply those with some info... ph should be from 5.5 to 6.5.. If using rockwool as a medium pre adjust the ph slightly lower to 5.0 to 5.5.. and ph is an important thing because if it's what balances the nutrient level for the roots, if it's too low or too high, then the salts desolved from the nutrients build up and roots don't have access to all the needed micro-nutrients minimizing max potential grwoth and rapid yields

Cfl's are ok for vegging, not flowering, you will get minimum yield trust me, use a 1000w metal halide to veg, and a 1000w HPS to flower in a 5 gallon drum and you will yield close to a pound.

@Aaronator01 Yes watt for watt the HPS is far superior what you aren't factoring is newtons inverse square law. A 1000w puts off 150,000 initial lumens but has to be kept 2 to three feet away from the light (slightly say six inches to a foot closer if properly air cooled) but here we are talking the better part of a grand for a setup. CFL's will still grow you nice, frosty buds they may lack density but if your not selling it... And you can put a CFL inches off of foliage using more % of lumens.

I switch from HPS to LED growlight. Some 8-9 month ago..

They are made now in those T8 tubes, so they fit right in (and gettin cheaper), you just have to bypass the ballast and kickstarter.

Same yield as HPS (if not more) only on my second grow with them, but first time i compared to HPS by having 4 plants under each lightsource. They had the same soil, air, water and amount of fertilizer.

Try it. My bill dropped about 75% when i turned off the HPS..

good tip: put the fan on the ground, make sure the fan is slightly angled so that the stem can get good circulation and the lower branches get good air under the leafs
