It's great to listen to this songs until the last weeks and now, seeing the making of video and recognizing that that "promo" track sounds like the final track on CD. Very great you share this with your fans!
So my first introduction into modern day synth pop was Solar Fake... I bought their album on iTunes and loved it. I noticed that iTunes continually attempted to subliminally tell me "Hey, if u like them, you'll LOVE Ashbury Heights". So I listened. And it happened. I was forever cursed with not allowing mainstream music to satisfy my melodic thirst since hearing your music allowed me to feel what it was truly like to be quenched. If you need a backup singer, I'm readily available!!!
I'm telling all my friends about AH and hopeful your fan base will grow in Los Angeles and you can come here and play a show sometime (maybe at Das Bunker). We'd love to have you as your band has so much talent. :)
I really love that you guys interact with your fans - you comment on the videos, and you blog, and twitter - it really makes you be more like _people_ not some abstract concepts, if you know what I mean :)
And your diary is absolutely adorable. Anders, keep those glasses on <333 The new song sounds great - even if it is not finished, the music is beautiful already.
Thanks for being awesome! When I don't know what to listen to, I listen to your music! :)
We love to chat with our supporters, it's such a positive way to get in touch with new people.
I think it's probably the level of success that dictates wether an artist has any time to interact with the fans. If you have millions of them it probably becomes really hard.
As long as AH is just a little underground secret for the most stalwart of music afficionados we'll keep replying to just about everything. /A&K
The level of success matters, but I've seen interviews with not-yet-popular artists who think they are the centre of the universe and act like douchebags :D This is just one more thing I like about you guys - you don't take yourself too seriously, and you are nice to fans.
But I hope you'll get millions of listeners, even if it means you will not be able to communicate with fans as much.
Good luck with your new album, I'll be looking forward to it and more video diaries :D
We'd love to come to Australia. We had a promotor trying to book us for a couple of gigs in Melbourne and Sidney last year. Unfortunately it's REALLY expensive getting three people halfway around the earth and it turned out they couldn't afford it. We're still hoping it'll happen :D
aww Anders is so sweeeet! and you're also pretty without makeup Kari! - thank you for the opportunity to see you two in such a personal way. The new song is looking great, CAN'T WAIT for the new album!!! (btw - guys wearing glasses = win)
The song sounded awesome, can't wait for your future releases! And it's cool that you posted a video diary, thanks for it! There's nothing wrong with the video footage, but does your camera have a crappy microphone?
OMG.....Anders he is he is he is ......very Cute ♥

Yes, our camera has an awful microphone. But bad sound is better than no sound!
Perhaps we'll be able to improve the quality of our video diaries in the future if we keep on doing them.

Of course it is better than no sound at all. And your good English makes up for the audio quality. ^__^

Really looking forward to hearing the new album, douchebags! ;-) (It's funny to hear non-native English speakers use that term).

The term Douchebag is a big hit in Europe :)
I guess it's partly due to the tv-series Family Guy's enormous popularity. Personally I picked it up from an acquaintance living in California.
