@MadGunnerMan pretty high! little fish would lose it when they jig, but BIG fish will still see it when you do that since they see more widely. they do that for the purpose of only getting the bigger fish.

Reefari you can't gaff and release. Did you see the monster hook then punched Into his side. That's the gaff. That kills the fish or, more often than not, mortally wounds the fish.

The reel looks like a Blue Heaven L50 (red) made by Studio Ocean Mark. A sweet piece of machinery no doubt. I might just buy one this Xmas and be the first guy in Mexico using one. Great jigging mechanics btw. What a nice GT you caught.
