L writes his own name in one of the deathnotes and sets his time of death for like a month later. In one of the deathnote rules it states that you cant write the name of a person who's name is already written.

The only thing about the Death Note Anime i did not like was that it was not L that figured out that Light was Kira and stopped him at the end.

Did not like that they replaced L with that Near kid instead and let him defeat Light when it was L that was Lights big rival.

Seems L is the one that finally defeats Kira in the Live-action movie.

Wish L could have won at the end of the Anime too.

@CyberLance26 Good point however the fact Near had not defeated Kira alone u fail 2acknowledge. Witout Mello's help Near wouldnt hav solved it. Since there was Mello and Near 2 consider Light was at a disadvantage. Even though Near and Mello were not as good as L the fact there were two ppl tryin 2 take him down made it more difficult. Even though L was a great rival the fact he lost helped so case tat Kira was a real threat. The situation bcame more dire witout him.

From what we know, they do not. The whole heaven/hell thing was revealed to mean that there simply is no heaven or hell. It might be possible, but it was never confirmed that people can become Shinigami; until it is confirmed, we have to assume they don't.

I actually think the movies are good. It's not a half bad representation of the anime/manga. Granted, they are better, but the movies are still good. The actors, in my opinion did a good job of portraying Light and L. Overall, it's a good live action version of a great anime.
