I agree that this is a scary video. NEVER teach a person how to use a gun with live ammo first! @dannyrambo1 The 1st round has to be chambered. By "racking the slide" or by dropping the slide release lever, or even by putting a round into the chamber by hand, but no, pulling the trigger will not load the gun.

One thing that is interesting in movies is how often people load a round at the last moment (as if they are trying to scare someone with the "click/click" sound of racking a round into the chamber, right in front of them) Obviously its mostly a "Hollywood" effect. Yes, racking a round does show that you mean business, but any serious shooter would already have a round ready to go, otherwise you could be dead by then.
@romansten9 just too let you know many law enforcement agencys when carrying a shotgun and or m16 they leave the chamber empty and the reason for that is the sound and action of racking the firearms is considered to be a warning since we are legally not allowed to fire warning shots just a little info for ya have a good day safe shooting

Everyone I know goes into an incident at least condition one and very often condition zero.
Racking the slide as a "warning" is a good way to get killed! Warning shots are not a good idea either. I'm not saying your'e making this up, but I've never heard of it in my career!
