i have 2 of those same subs in a sealed box with a pioneer 760 watt 2 channel amp and it hits pretty hard. plus that 600watt sony xplode amp only puts out 600 watts wired at 2ohms through all 4 channels, so that sub is a 4 ohm sub, u cant wire it at 2 ohms and if i read it correctly that amp will only put out 60 watts max wired at 4 ohms, so correct me if im wrong but that means his settup he is only pumping about 60 watts max to the sub, thus is prolly why it sounds so weak

well xplod subs get overheated very quick and they brake easy but the amps seems to be oke sony xplods got some good bass but they wont last long that's all.

Their voice coils are made of the same copper that other subs are made with, they are also laminated with a similar resin. All that gives them different power ratings is the gauge of the wire, how many times it's wound, and how many layers it's wound. in conclusion, so long as they are run with proper nominal power, they won't overhear quickly at all. And I kinda beg to differ on the breaking easily part. I had four 10" Xplods in my Tacoma run by a RF Power amp @ 1400W. They lasted over a year.

VR speakers....lol....I've had Old Skool 90's Pioneers and they hit extremely hard...loudest subs i've owned, and I've had Kicker, MTX, Dual, and Rockford Fosgate....helps if you have a huge 5cu. ft. sealed box and the system is professionally installed...Pioneer is loud, quality may not all be that great, my other brands hit deeper and with more clarity, but my Pioneers were the LOUDEST and hit the HARDEST out of all my subs.
