Heres a fact some might not know, from the 2 mins 44 sec mark, with the daleks going through the door frame, its the same 4 models going in a loop to appear that theres more. And of course beforehand with the cardboard daleks as background. Classic!
Thank you so much for uploading this! It's great to see any classic Who (especially a Troughton) story unearthed! This is my number one for being found! If it was...oooh...i wouldn't be controllable for days! :D x
Watched a Recon of this last night, second best opening Doctor story next to Spearhead from Space. More of a shame this is gone! Find vintage collectors, they may have this hiding in their basements!
The Power Of The Daleks was on my most fond episodes i realy wish it wasn't taped over. That episode to me was the best of all times, it JUST beats The Chase i really wish they could remake it... *Sigh*
They actually messed up a part with the video and voices. At 2:20 they are meant to say we are to wait here until the humn beings fight among themselves. but instead it says exterminate all humans.
why the BBC deleted this i shall never know. but apparently from what i've read from a website about the missing episodes, there is a hanger somewhere in Canada that belongs to a tv company, and all the film cans in there are uncatalogued, so there could be several missing episodes there. but the BBC have contacted that tv company in canada, but due to lack of managment there hasnt been any reply
@animationdude56 The BBC deleted basically most of their shows. Wiped them from film because they didn't have enough space. It was pretty much routine. :( x
@BritishAlienCompany yep, I know all that know, since posting my original comment I've read "Wiped!". If this doesn't turn up, then I've got my fingers crossed that Evil of the Daleks ep 7 will turn up. I hope. There's got to be a couple more out there, and hopefully said episode is (even if the chances are ridiculously impossibly remote then I don't care, it sounds AWESOME, and the semi-reconstruction looks even more awesome).
Production has just started on a Fan Film that re-tells/re-imagines this lost doctor Who story. My NSD and six others will be appearing in the film, painted in the sixties Dalek livery of silver with blue hemis. Some studio work has already been shot, with location filming to be completed during August.
The bits with the Daleks shout 'Daleks conquer and destroy!' always scares me! So wish more of this was found. Thanks for placing the clips up. Just out of interest, which slip was the 2005 one?

What a shame so much of the footage of this and other Patrick Troughton serials are lost. Here's hoping someone will find more, someday.

I really hope they recover the complete serial one day, not only is it a classic dalek story it's also Patrick Troughton's first trip in the TARDIS.
