What bugged me about the movie is it is so self aggrandizing to the West and so villifing to the East. Its shallow and bigoted. Its like those cold war movies porttaying everone in Russia as being miserable yearning to move to America.
For example rap artists openly and frequently sing protest songs at rallies in Tehran, so what artistic expressions is suppesedly being expressed? While the story line is romantic, the premise is pure fiction.
Most of this movie is True, for some reason people whom have a good life in Iran They still feel not happy and think if they move some other place, they be happier!!! Which is wrong of course!!! Most of this problem is caused by the Sattle lite TV Channels, they always talk, and pretend on the other side the life is different and the young people in Iran believe it, Most young people have it better than the kids here do, but do not appreciate the level of comfort they have!!!

It was not right to lash this opportunist actor, however this film promotes a piece of animal kingdom culture. Making fun is not about taking xtc pills, crack, infecting hiv etc.
And when some LAWS dont allow these things in Iran, it should not be called opression or lack of freedom.
We have Iranian art, music,"fun" and culture such as concerts of shahram nazeri. In Iran people are free to have picknick, to climb the beauthifull mountains of Iran, to sport and 100 more ways of fun.

Iranian people are great and the have a lot to teach us - but it can never happen under such irrational stupidity and barbarism. Next we will go back to burning people at the stake. از دو سال پیش فیلمو ۵ بار دیدم و هر بار اشک ریختم .حکایت نسل سوخته ما بچه های دهه ۵۰ که هیچ جا داستانش به تصویر کشیده نشد و میان آرمان گرایی ها از یک طرف و بیخیالیها از طرف دیگه گم و گور شد. عاشق این فیلمم بخصوص صحنه بالای کوه و فریاد مرضیه که عالی بازی کرد .ممنونم

What bugged me about the movie is it is so self aggrandizing to the West and so villifing to the East. Its shallow and bigoted. Its like those cold war movies porttaying everone in Russia as being miserable yearning to move to America.
For example rap artists openly and frequently sing protest songs at rallies in Tehran, so what artistic expressions is suppesedly being expressed? While the story line is romantic, the premise is pure fiction.

Most of this movie is True, for some reason people whom have a good life in Iran They still feel not happy and think if they move some other place, they be happier!!! Which is wrong of course!!! Most of this problem is caused by the Sattle lite TV Channels, they always talk, and pretend on the other side the life is different and the young people in Iran believe it, Most young people have it better than the kids here do, but do not appreciate the level of comfort they have!!!
