I was there !!!! The same guy tried push past me. he was like "sorry but I'm going to the front". He was not the other side when Dallas told him off. so cold, but so worth it -3
I would probably have killed myself on the spot, but then again, I probably wouldn't be stupid enough to be feeling enough negative-emotions to fight during a concert including Dallas Green.
That was a whole other side of him that surpised me. Dallas the negotiator! He could be a successful Realtor if the music thing doesn't work out! lol He won't be planting any For Sale signs anytime soon!
I'm a big Alexis and City and Colour fan but the guy is a prick at times. Fighting in the crowd is ridiculous but he has no authority to tell the guy not to. At an Alexis show idiots are encouraged to mosh and create pits. That is the same as what this guy was doing.....releasing aggression in a juvenile and pathetic way. Just because C & C show is calmer doesn't alter the fact that the guy had paid his money and it's security/venue who should have their say on it.
@livefortheweekend99 Sorry but that makes no sense whatsoever. Two idiots in a crowd of hundreds, if not thousands of fans who all paid the same price. Good on Dallas for putting a stop to that bullshit so people around those two assholes could enjoy the show. If you can't be big boys and girls, don't go to concerts.
@Stiyl10 Of course it makes sense. I have concerts ruined for me by sweaty idiots moshing. Violence is violence. More innocent people get caught up in the affects of moshing which in my eyes makes it criminal. Dallas obviously was able to focus on these two as it was isolated but the principle is precisely the same. What makes it ok that by putting the guitar through distortion means people should behave like animals? I am not justifying the tools that were fighting in this vid.
@livefortheweekend99 Moshing has it's place. It doesn't have a place in any concert like this, but it has it's place the same way slamdancing had with the punk generation and "dropping it like it's hot" jas with this generation. It just needs to be utilized in the right environment, not a C&C concert.
@Stiyl10 Queens of the Stone Age do it all the time. In fact if you throw shit at Josh Homme he will stop mid-song and mouth the person off foreeever! Now that's crazy! Not many bands do that. Though I agree that it is kind of weird when he stops the little boys from fighting, but if I appreciate it so much when bands call assholes out in the audience because they ruin the experience for me, and its good entertainment. haha
@addrenalinedrummer oh yea thats right, sounds kinda different... i like how hes constantly tweaking his songs. makes for a unique experience every time.
wow for someone who was in a hardcore band he sure has gottin "humble" needs everyone to respect his melody lmao i can see how though
