Dreadful rendition. Ironic that this sounds better when sung with English Choral style singing, as opposed to that more "operatic form" used in Italy.
I repeat: this music was once - and remains - written for professionals. It's very difficult to keep tune - and good sound - if one didn't study vocal technique. If your choir manages to do all that, you'll have my compliments!

It's not just me who thinks that this particular performance of a masterpiece is bad. Actually, it's not the tenor but the bass who sounds like a sheep. My 'nasty comments' tend to be directed at bad videos; this is certainly one of them.

My choir are amateurs and we do this Mass. We might not sound like the Tallis Scholars but we are in tune, unlike this recording.
