  • 3:13 watch closely...they already expanding the blade ...that is y the blade didn't break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

grim reaper ... if the blade was close it would just broke like another broadhead. u guys are fooling people.

  • archeryhunter24 man if you like rage go ahead and use them i know they are JUNK!!!! Rage are JUNK!!

  • There to scared to shoot reign..let it reign!!

  • 1 things is proven for sure is that the rage is shit

  • das is s cool.

  • I have used grim reaper 100gr razor tips for both CA & UT archery hunts since 2006. In that time I have taken 2 mule deer, 5 colombia blacktails, 1 cow elk and 1 CA black bear... every single animal went down within 20 yards! I swear by these things even as my hunting partners swap out every year for "the latest new thing in broadheads"!

  • FWIW I killed four deer with Grim Reaper 100 grain tips and none of them went more than 40 yards. Took a bedded doe last season......shot was low. One blade nearly sliced off her foreleg. Tip punched through the opposite side. When she got up and ran she broke the carbon arrow shaft. Hardly any blood, but found her right around the bend. Opened her up and 90% or her blood volume fell out of her chest cavity. One of the blades was broken, but I'd say i got my $10 worth.

  • i like the design of these broadheads but they are extremely delicate i shot the grim reaper to my broadhead target and the blade on the grim reaper broke and not on the rage so this is fake

  • @jorgeosojuarez I dont know if this is fake or not. I keep hearing the same things... "They are awesome" "they are crap" I really dont know what to believe myself? and i dont want to go spending the cash trying to find out by testing myself. could it be possible that these are essentially good heads but also have a lot of factory problems turning out good batches and bad ones?

  • ive used the shitty rages. they suck ass unless you want to shoot a deer in the gut. turned around and blew threw both shoulder blades on a 165" buck with my reepers. never had a deer go over 80 yrds. how bout that.

  • you losend the blades on the rage just to make it look like the grim reaper is better but its NOT! RAGE is only the best broadhead on the market with the biggest entry wholes on the market!!! but when i go hunting for steel barrels ill use the grim rapers

  • @archeryhunter24 how can you tell the blades on the rage are loose? your just mad because your heads suck compared to a grim reaper.

  • @archeryhunter24 when you spin the arrow after theres no screw left... you took the screws out...

  • As long as these blades are in an animal they will stay open and keep penetrating, but as they come out of whatever your shooting at they close. being they have done there job, big deal by far the best expandable broadhead on the market. By the way at the 33 second mark the broadhead isn't even in the picture.

  • if you want your deer dead no farther than 100 yrds everytime use grim reapers... i only use 2 b-heads.... magnus buzzcuts and grimreapers.

  • ok i have hit a few deer dead in the shoulder and my broad head didn't explode and who in the world would want to shoot a steel drum next time do a real life test out in the field.

  • get the damn adio fixed

  • In my opinion. I had sucesses with those heads. you dont need a rage to open in the front to spit alot of deer blood. the reaper spits alot of deer blood as much as rage. remember folks always shoot durable expandable not like those big advertisement like rage. This web is proof in the pudding. for expandables I strongly recomend the reapers, G5, and trophy ridge. those expandables that I see are great and they wont let you down for this season.I shot a deer leg through it. that is durable proof

  • @ussoldierXD OOORRAHH!!! I've field test the 125 grain reapers With average kills of 10 seconds. (heart and lung shots) Deer will drop on the spot with a spine shot!

  • A steel drum is nothing like anything you'll hit in an animal. Heavy plywood is a way better imitation of bone.

  • pause the video at 0:33 seconds

you can see that the blades are broke because they where not capable of staying open. the broke as they went through the first side of the barrel, then as the partially entered the second side the where only being held open by the barrel wall not because they where effective

  • They actually didn't break. If you watch the scene over again, you'll see that after impact, they folded back into their original position. What you're seeing at 0:33 is chards of the steel drum. Watch more closely, you'll see.

  • @farmerjoemv yes that's exactly what I was talking about. the blades where folding back to there starting position, they should has stayed locked back. That is why I stated they failed because they did, once opened there are to remain open. notice after the rage 3 blade that 2 blade stayed open the whole time ? also the three blade rage has angled blades which causes more pressure to the head I bet money the two blade would have a different result. do you see what I mean ?

  • Now figure this is the blades dont open when they Hit the dum...how are they going to pen on an animal...itll leae a skimpy trail and u probably wont fnd it cause circular serrations heal fast

  • ill stick with my rage i will never shoot a broadhead with blades that open in the front. the video was made by grim reaper so of corse their gona make the grim reaper look the best. my buddy shot a pheasnt with a razor tip at 65# and the arrow was stopped on the spot when it hit the bird

  • no it didnt. i shoot a 50 lb recurve and 75 grain razortips and get complete pass thrus on elk. and besides. rages explode.

  • with rage you can kill a whitetail. the reason of them shooting steel drums. its an example of shooting moose, elk, and bear bones. alot of sportsman nowadays are shooting the top mechanicals. because they open better and they fly like feild tips and they cut bigger meat tissues. fixed blades are good too but only some of them shoot like field tips. not all of them . I had a great season with those heads at 85 gr.

  • look at all the holes in the drum...wonder what yall edited out when yall got beat..the tekan only had the tips broken..no other dents hoe

  • I GUARANTEE my 125gr Slick Trick will blow right through this barrel over and over and never break and ya know what...they would never fail to open,or open in flight and throw the arrow off. That said,I'm not getting the gaping wounds that the Rage broadheads make and I'm considering switching to mechanicals this next Fall, just trying to decide which ones.I lost 2 deer this year because they stopped bleeding. One was a lung shot so you can't say it was a bad shot, just clotted and stopped bleeding.

  • I'll shoot Rage broadheads until I have a problem with them.

  • Cool. Next time i decide to shoot a steel barrel i'll get a grim reaper -.-

  • I want to see that test against a muzzy!

  • noo slick tricks or montecks

  • Me and my hunting buddies have together killed 5 deer with the grimreaper head and watched all of them drop none made it out of sight. I think on only one of those there was one blade broken. Also three of them were killed with the same head. Flat out awesome head I shoot 100 grain feild tips screw off the feild tip and screw on the broadhead and they shoot hole for hole with no sight adjustment.

  • But do the blades stay open in the animal???

  • nooo and noooo intrance hole

  • What bothers me isn't that G.R. is promoting G.R. But they practically admit to rigging the test. Listen closely:

"Yes this one went through, the blades are on"

    "Thats good"

"Lets just see if I can"

"Well, at least there's two blades."

    "No they're there, spin 'em."

I wander how many didn't pass the test?

Also, leaving the blades open bypasses the chances of the blades curling or "crumpling" like the Rocket Hammerhead. I'm not a mech-hater, but this test was far from far.

    "

  • I watched a video yesterday of a guy who tested about 15 mechs and the grim reaper had the best penetrating power on an oil drum like these...No bias all real...and the guy who did it said that they were a good head I use them and they always work.

  • this is for all you grim reaper fans looking to put a trophy STEEL BARREL on your wall. good luck to all

  • dude what evver rage is a amzing brand. this penatrate very good and have an amazing hole bigger than a slug hole. and the 3 blade isnt the good one the 2 blade is the well designed one.

  • im not going to knock other braodheads, but if you like tracking your animal, dont use these ha,ha,these require no tracking at all! 2 thumbs up!!

  • NO SPITFIRES??????

Nice test done by Grim Reaper promoting Grim Reaper.....

  • Watch closely....the Spitfire XP Pro Series is there.

  • That's not a Spitfire XP Pro in the actual barrel test there, Hoss. It is a piece of junk Eastman FirstCut ST3 85/100 Titanium. Spitfires do NOT use rubberbands. That head was chosen, obviously, because people who don't know what they are talking aobut often confuse it with a Spitfire XP or Shockwave XP. Grim Reaper further tries to confuse the consumer by showing a Spitfire later in the video section comparing deflection.

  • Yeah it was shown at the end when discussing deflecting..but it was never shown being shot through the barrel or even being shot into the plywood...Plus if you did test the Spitfire and your doing apples to apples shouldn't you have use the original Spitfire and not the XP with the COC tip. The XP is very similar to Grim Reaper's Razorcut head..why didn't you shoot that one through the barrel...
